China Glaze - Watermelon Rind

Evening everybody! These have been hectic two days! But now I have a few moments to write lil' something and meet new people, as I can see, dropped in my little neck of the internet. :) Before I get my dose of nail-polish blogs, I must show you my newest crush. It's China Glaze, it's goregous and it's been on my nails third day now, tomorrow fourth, and I'm not sure if I'll even get sick of it tomorrow. Watermelon Rind is a complete surprise to me, I knew it was an awesome colour since the moment I stumbled upon a swatch on Parokeets blog (I think it was Mamy who posted it, but I'm not sure). But I never expected I'd love it so much I wouldn't want to take it off for 4 straight days! Swatches!

You can see the sparkle-awesomeness on my blurry index finger (enlarge the picture for better look). At least the green and blue sparkles, there are tons of others too.

Blurry one, for the sparkle check, as usually. You can see brilliant blue glitter, green, sometimes I catch with my bare eye also goldish-copper specks, it's insane, really.

There you have it. My gem of the month. I can't get sick of it. And the minimal amount of tip-wear is just amazing! I have a bit longer nails than usual and thus am used to having that kind of tip-wear that I do on my third day of wearing Watermelond Rind, after one day with other polish for sure!
Other data about this beauty - it's a part of Summer Days Collection, from summer 2009 and has the big 3 free syndrome, a drop of polish can really soak your nail, if you don't see it coming. But once you start paying attention to that, it's not a big problem. I can't honestly remember, whether this was two or three coats, I remember it being a bit sheer, so perhaps three coats, but I wouldn't bet my head on it. All in all a beautiful colour, it's this special tealish green, or whatever would you call it, with toooons of sparkle, all kinds of sparkle, you can watch it insted of TV, discovering the shapes and colours. Mesmerizing. The glass flecked structure is just brilliant.

Watermelon Rind is without a doubt one of China Glaze's best. I adore it.

What do you think about it?

Thank you for reading & sweet dreams!

  2. This is one of my favorite China Glaze polishes! I think it was my 9th purchase from them. Each time I looked at it and would put it back. Then I tried it on my nail and it was love at first sight.
