Vipera Jumpy 154

Hello! How about another Jumpy for today? I still haven't got through all the gorgeous polish Sabbatha sent me, but I'm getting there. I wore quite a few in the past few weeks and my enthusiasm for Polish polish has not ceased. They make awesome nail polish, I can tell you that.

Vipera Jumpy seemed like a perfect little thing on my very short nails and in gloomy weather, you know, to cheer me up a bit. This was a few weeks ago, after my heavy exams and the stress took all my nails to hell, so I needed to shorten them completely.

Jumpy 154 is very similar to Jumpy 155, but the base colour is brighter and more juicy. The glass flecks are similar too, and I *love* them. It is an awesome polish with an awesome formula. Three coats, two would be enough, but the third one creates more depth.

Another gorgeous Jumpy! I love all that I have, actually.

Do you have any Jumpys? What do you prefer to wear on very short nails ... or on a gloomy day?

Catrice Am I Blue Or Green? with stamping

Hello! How are you doing? It's a lovely day here in Ljubljana and I'm just about to run to my friend's place for a movie (she moved in a couple of months ago and now lives like a minute of walk away from me, pretty darn cool, eh?), so a quicker one today.

Am I Blue Or Green? is a Catrice I never got around to buying. I like the colour, but since I had Mint Candy Apple from Essie I avoid the colour for the bitchy application it arrives with. But I guess this little thing was meant for me, because I got it as a lovely surprise present and I put it on today (thanks, U.!).
To answer the question the name of the varnish asks - it looks blue on me, i think. Mint blue. And the formula, sadly, still sucks. I needed three coats on about a half of my nails and 4 on the other half (2 coats auftragen my ass). But the colour oh so rocks. I love the brightness of it and, pardon my arrogance, it looks so awesome on my hands.

I like how this one turned out, I had to take a picture of a brooch for a friend of mine. The same friend that gave me the polish, actually!

Then I figured Am I Blue Or Green? looks like a good base for stamping and since my stamping skills are non-existent thanks to me not doing it at all and with two of my few plates still untouched, I said I shall try it. I grabbed a black polish, hoping it will work and the m85 Konad plate I got from licila.si as a gift and this is what happened.

Essence TC smeared it up, I hate it for doing that, I was so proud of my achievement. It is far from being perfect, but it's by far the best pattern I've done so far. Plus, I think the combo simply rocks. Luckily most of smears aren't visible if you don't look at my nails too carefully. Either way I like what I did and I love that i found a good black to work with: Vollare cosmetics Nail Artistic black, it comes with a very thin brush, for nail art, but I never use it (surprise surprise). Awesome that it's good for stamping, as far as I remember it's rather cheap, much cheaper than original Konad polish at least.

Any stamping noobs out there or am I the last one? :D Your thoughts on Am I Blue Or green?, are you a fan of colours like this?

Depend 313

Hello people! I have to show you this colour ASAP. I put it on like half an hour ago and thanks to my newest discovery in TC department (Essence Studio Nails fast drying topcoat - yes, I'm late to the party with this one) I already did the pictures and well ... you know how you sometimes love a colour on swatches but when you have it on your nails the awesomeness it contains blows you away? That's what is happening here. I love this so much I can't stop looking at my nails. 313 has to be the most gorgeous Depend I've ever worn and I never thought I'll see 170 beaten!

Sorry for the gloomy pictures. I went back to blogging, of course the summer days got all grey and dead, what did you expect? ;) I'm kidding, I don't mind being a tad bit cooler for a change. But pictures are the way they are, lightbox killed the blurple base colour.

Isn't 313 simply gorgeous? Blurple with green glass flecks, hell yeah Depend, way to go! Three coats for moi, I don't like bald spots plus I think the third coat gives much more depth to the polish. Gosh, I love this one!

You can get in Slovenia now too. I am a very inpatient person, so I asked Kaneli to get them for me from Finland earlier, thank you, dear! :) Hopefully the other colours from Summer 2012 will get here too, as it seems only this one came so far. Our distributors are weird like that. Anyway. Get it if you can!

Catrice - Virgin Forest

How about some nails for this rainy day? I don't mind rain much, it cools the air, which is a big and nice plus for me. I'll show you my NOTD and yes, it's a green. I remember telling Gejba Virgin Forest is too frosty for me, so I didn't miss it much when I couldn't find it anywhere. A friend of mine did though and I said ok, take it, I love the design on the bottles and well ... it's hard for me to say no to a green. ;) I'm glad I have it now. The brush strokes are much more visible on the pictures than IRL, at least on my hands and the green is this beautiful emerald green that simply glows. I like!

This was three coats and absolutely no clean up, because I ran out of my correction pen. The brush and the formula on this one were great. The colour is rather close to King of Greens and it reminds me of Sinful Colors San Francisco too. I like the freshness of it.

Did you get anything from Coolibri LE?

Still alive and wearing nail polish

Good evening my dear people! Long time no speak-y! *poor imitation of Manny's voice* Seriously, it's been so long since my last blog entry I feel weird typing this away. And earlier on when I edited the pictures I was all clumsy, already out of the routine, hehe. I've had the most wonderful Summer so far. As you know, after my last exam I went to Spain for a week. Well, after two days back home my BF took me to Czech Republic to a festival and after 4 days there I immediately started with a summer class at my college. Quite voluntarily! It was a brilliant theme that I enjoyed greatly and the professor (from the USA, not ours) was this incredible person that I'm really honoured to have met. Well, after that I took a few days off, I finally continued with reading last book from A Song of Ice and Fire saga, A Dance with Dragons and before I knew it, we were up north in our little cottage of peace and I was cut off computer again. Not that I minded, I had some great books with me, great company and awesome view of the mountains.

In short: time flies when you're having fun. I of course haven't forgotten about my little make up obsessions and I still checked your blogs when I had an hour to spare. So how about I show you what I've bought in Spain make up related? I'm also planning to do my travelling posts about Spain, if you're still interested in reading them, as soon as I get the photos (that will be much better this time, a friend of mine, mistress of photography, has done them with her epic camera!). But for today let's check out my purchases in make up department, as I owe them to KrvavaMeri too (she has awesome, truly awesome blog: mejkap.si, certainly one of my favourite on entire make up blogsphere).

Just because my lightbox made them look funny, this is how they look like. Actually the concealer is not as white ... *sigh* that's why I don't do make up swatches, I'm afraid.

In case you're wondering about the info on products. The copper eyeliner misbehaved so I'm giving you its number here: 403.

Actually my number 1 make up destination in Madrid was Inglot. I really want a couple of Inglot shades and stuff ... alas, we didn't manage to get there. Madrid is big, as you can imagine. So if something is 'on the edge of Madrid, not quite out but not quite in either' that takes a couple of hours with public transport and search for the shop and choosing the colours etc. ... being for the first time in Madrid and only for 3 days, I didn't want that chunk of time taken from enjoyment of discovering Spain capital so I let it pass and did a mental note on road trip to Zagreb. :) But we still had El Corte Inglés and Kiko! And boy oh boy did I enjoy browsing through all the counters. The prices were too high most of the time, from Bobbi Brown to MAC and Urban Decay and so on ... sorry, just can't afford it. But I liked looking at it. :) The good thing about having them close is that when you actually see the products and test them, a lot of them lose a bit of the charm you see on them when drooling over some amazing swatches on the Internet. But when I saw I can get basically two Sephora eye shadows for the price of one (well, the second one cost 1€ if you bought two) I said I'll take some risk, especially since I saw a couple of shades I'd love to have. I took the two and ... wow. I'm shocked by how amazingly pigmented are they! Seriously awesome purchase, I love both of them! So Sephora is definitively worth the money, although the regular price for one (around 12 euro) seemed a bit much still. But you really get an amazing product for the cash!

Second was Kiko. I had a wishlist for Kiko, actually. Luckily, like I said before, some magic is lost when you are there, trying the testers, seeing the fall-out on glitter eye shadows and so on. Oh, and a little girl, who her mother obviously ignored, scratching the testers so the floor was full of crushed eyeshadow  ... ouch. But Madrid's Kiko is a crammed place, so you can lose yourself in that chaos quite fast. Anyway ... the assistants were very lovely and kind and so I got my concealer, one eyeshadow that I couldn't say no to and two amazing eyeliners, insanely good eyeliners, seriously! And a blush. My first official blush, can you believe it. Krvava Meri made me reconsider this product with her great entries on it (I used to think it's completely useless on me) and I'm quite amazed by the affect it leaves on the face. So I'm glad I bought it. It looks very natural on me and I wanted that, having always bold eye make up on.

Ah, here I go again, talking and talking and talking about make up. Wait 'till I get to the cities I visited. ;)

Do you have any Kiko or Sephora products? Can you recommend some especially? What have you been up to in these past few weeks? Do tell! :)
