Eveline Holografic Shine days: 420

Hello everyone! How are you doing? Hope you had a nice day! Mine was nice, although I got wet as a mouse earlier in the day when the sky opened and started pouring water on us and all I had on me were jeans and a top, I froze to death. But I got the present for my BF, finally, after searching throughout Ljubljana, so it was worth it. :) The air also pleasantly cooled off so the jogging hour was awe-some!

Today it's our last Eveline in the Holografic Shine days, 420, I don't have a name for this one, but it's my third favourite from the bunch, right after Sandy and Lucky 13. This one is simply gorgeous, I love it! And yes, it's brown, not a colour you see often on my blog or on my nails, so I didn't expect much when I saw it in the bottle.

I loved this one on me, isn't it stunning? It feels like a cousin of Nubar Jewel and Gem, but I don't have them, so I'm judging from the many pictures I've seen of the both and thus can be very wrong. Nevertheless, I adore it. Also, this is a two coater even on my longer nails, woo-hoo! Gotta love that! Also a good brush, so this one is totally in my good books.

Btw, I'll do a poll about these themed weeks/days I do every once in a while this week. So you can tell me your thoughts about them in general. But please tell me in the comments what do you think about Eveline Holografich Shine days? And about 420? :)

Tomorrow we'll probably continue with my newest crush, I just can't wait to show you this beauty. Thank you for reading!

Eveline Holografic Shine days: 418

Heya people! How are you? I'm hungry, just about to have my lunch, can't wait, it smells divine. I just changed my mani. Well, an hour ago, it's perfect and I can't wait to show it to you. Why am I telling you that? Because today I'm really starting to miss fast drying top coat. As you know, i'm SV-less for a while now - it dried to the point that the remainder of polish doesn't even move in the bottle - and it's slowly getting on my nerves. I have to wait longer between coats so they are 100% dry and when i use TC, otherwise perfect Ultra Shine from Nfu Oh, I have to be careful not to put it on not dry polish otherwise it bubbles and even then it's best if I watch an episode of some seires or something, so it has long time to completely dry. Even that sometimes isn't enough, I removed my mani today because I woke up with really deep sheet print on my nails. *sigh* And sometimes even after two hours, after you choose a ruined mani over burst bladder and after you wash your hands you see a nail or two is ruined. Kinda tiresome. At this point i'm willing to put up with shinkage and bubbles of Seche Vite or preferably try something new. Alas there isn't a vast choice of fast drying TCs in Slovenia. Ok, sorry about the semi-rant. I just think about this one today more than usually because I DO NOT want to mess this mani!

On to the Eveline Holografic Shine. It's 418 and it's ugly as hell. I actually said 'yuck' wearing it, and there are maybe 5 polishes in my whole history of trying out colours that got that reaction.

I think this was two coats only. I only swatched it on 4 nails, i disliked it so much. It surprised me, since the colour appealed to me in the bottle. Oh well, it's not like that never happens. ;)

What do you think? Only one more left!

Thank you for reading!

Eveline Holografic Shine days: 417

Hello people. Today I'll be short. Yesterday I couldn't stop watching Battlestar Galactica so I got only 5 hours of sleep and I came home only an hour ago, I'm really tired and cooked up, it's very unpleasant weather here in Ljubljana. Although right now I can see rainbow right out of my office window. :) I love rainbows, they always cheer me up, such a simple masterpiece of Nature. :) Another Eveline, of course, for today. I'm glad we're slowly finishing it, I'm a bit tired of them, I suspect you're too.

This is two to three coater. Man, I miss my long nails, this one really compliments them. What is this colour anyway? Is it goldish? Brownish? Nude? Or what? Anyway. I can't decide if I like it or not, but right now I like it. :) How about you?

Thank you for reading!

Eveline Holografic Shine days: 413

Heya everyone! How are you doing? It's a hot hot Sunday here. I'm posting another one eariler than usually because I'm not sure if I'll have the time to post later on. I just did my mani for the first time with magnetic polish (ok, I don't count the Essence magnetics, because the pattern was poor due to their magnet) and I can't wait to show it to you!
But right now we're again on Eveline Holografic Shine boat and this one is the star of my Eveline collection. I call it Lucky 13, because of the name number and because it's my favourite, right next to Sandy (401). If you remember I also have the beautiful 412 (Rain-bowl of berries) that I've already shown you. I just want to point it out so we have them all in line. :)

A lightbox shot totally kills the holo effect, but shows the base colour really nicely.

Lucky 13 needs three coats to be perfect, and it really is. Perfect I mean. I love it. It reminds me of Magnetic Spectacular Stone and Color Club Wild at Heart. I'm not sure they are dupes though, I think the latter two have stronger holo effect, also they are both one coaters. Not sure. But I'm loving this Eveline fellow, isn't it gorgeous? Of course this bottle was the most used in store, it shows on the bottle the most. Little pigs. Well, nothing to cry about, even 4.5 ml will last me for quite a while. Because you simply cannot find it anywhere anymore. These purple shades are the hardest to find. Well, there were the hardest to find. I'm not sure if we can get them anymore in Slovenia. Figures, eh?

What do you think about this one?

Have a nice Sunday!

Eveline Holografic Shine days: 409

Hello everyone! And welcome new people! :) Yes, I'm posting this later than usually since I got home around eight and went straight to jogging. I'm really starting to enjoy it, which is great, since my dance classes ended in June and it has become the only way I exercise. I had the most wonderful 4 days, really, it's such a great place to be, surrounded by mountains, the only technical problem being a stereo that will only play the CD it decides to play at that certain moment. :) Ah! I have to check all your comments, thank you for them! I hope you're not tired of Holografic Shine yet, we still have a few more to go.

409 has no name, at least I haven't made one up, although looking at the pictures I do like the colour. It's close to 407, but it's more orange and has intenser colour, and also holo effect.

This one also needed two coats only, the third one only for touch ups (which in my case means my thumbs and middle finger nails, being the biggest). It dried fast and nice. Again, I cannot recall if the brush was wonky, but even if they are, they are easy to handle, so no major troubles there.

Any thoughts? What's on your nails today? Have you caught any of the Alessandro Go Magic! Twist expensive-as-hell-but-beautiful-as-hell-too polishes? :)

Thank you for reading and following!

Eveline Holografic Shine days: 407

You know, I said I'll prepare just two in advance, but knowing my BF and what happened last time, when we stayed there three days longer than planned, I'll do another one, just in case. ;) And we're half way to finish them all! Well, not all of them, those that I have at least. :) I don't know the exact number on them, any of my Polish ladies knows? Yeah, Eveline is a Polish polish line. :) Poland has some serously awesome brands of varnish, I'm quite in love with them (and I also blame Spooky nails blog for that a bit ;)).

407 is not very much up my alley, so again, no name. If you have any suggestions for any of them, I'm happy to read about them! I hate the numbers, I like them only with Nfu Oh. 407 is, if that is possible anyway, for me a mom holo colour. Seriously, the base colour has that antique rose-ish touch that mom colours prefer to have. You know I like a few mom colours, but this one didn't appeal to me much, even though it looks awesome in the bottle.

I don't have any notes on how many coats this was nor how was the brush. I've already mentioned that brushes can be very weirdly curved in this line. I suspect it's three coats, but it can be two only too. I'm not sure. Like I said, I don't like this colour on me, I removed it quite fast. And what the hell is with my middle finger and the cuticles?? I really feel embarassed when I show you pictures like that. But you know my middle finger, it's a total diva, its cuticle is the hardest to maintain in the happy place for me.

What do you think about this one? Do you get the mom colour wibe too or am I just silly? :)

Thank you for reading!

Eveline Holografic Shine days: 406

Hello darlings! Wow, this planned posts stuff kinda sucks, I don't have anything to tell you in the beginning of the post. You know, I usually blabber about the stuff that's happening in my life or on nail polish scene. I just hope I didn't forget my sunscreen at home. ;)

406. I call it Silver Explosion. Simply because it's by far the most holographic one I have from Eveline. The silvers usually are, I guess the holo magic dust goes the best with silver pigment?

You know the drill by now, the soft light picture is here to show the base colour more clearly.

Silver Explosion (406) is a very nicely behaved polish. Needs two coats (even on my long claws here), third one only for touch ups, I suspect on my middle finger and thumbs, dries really fast and it's a nice holographic goodie. Frankly, after getting Gosh Holographic I don't think I'll ever use any other silver holo polish until I ran out of Gosh (and cry my eyes out because of that), but it's a very nice polish indeed, perfect if you don't feel like having a too intensive holo on your nails but want to have silver with more oomph.

What do you think about this one? Do you have any Eveline Holografic Shine in your stash?

Thank you for reading!

Eveline Holografic Shine days: 405

Heya everyone! Hopefully I'm right now enjoying the coolness of our Bohinj lake and all it's beauty. It's one of the most beautiful places we have in Slovenia, so I suggest looking at some pictures (I linked one) if you can't visit it. :)

Today it's the day of the beautiful 405, I named it Blueberry Pie. Don't ask why, I don't know. It's a lovely shade of purple, with a nice holo effect.

Three coats, the brush was nice to handle, I have no complaints about this one. It's a lovely colour. It also has a bit stronger holo effect than the others that we've already seen. Holo effect differs a bit in this line, it depends on the colour. Blueberry Pie is a keeper. I do apologize for the state of my cuticles on this pictures, I have *no* idea what the hell was I thinking, not putting some creme on my hands before taking pictures, if they were in a state like this one. I really hate posting them like that, but the colour really shines on the pictures.

What do you think?

Eveline Holografic Shine days: 403

Hello everyone! As I am cooking in my own skin (seriously, it's too hot to breathe here) I feel great still, yesterday was a majory awesome nail polish day. Got a package I already though it was lost (right now I'm wearing one colour from it and it effing ROCKS!) and found out I'll get my greedy little hands on two HTFs. Yay? Yay! I was in a hurry to post the first one yesterday so I forgot to mention that. :)
But as the heat wave will be hanging in Slovenia for a while (right now its around 30 degrees Celsius in Ljubljana) my BF suggested we leave for a couple of days for north and I said yes, of course. That's why, for the first time, I prepared posts in advance for two days, starting tomorrow. I hope everything works as it should. I don't wish to break the Eveline Holografic Shine days after only two days, when I've postponed it for months.

And now we're going to the next one I have, it's called 403 and since I didn't love it much, I didn't name it. You can, if you get a spark of inspiration!

To see the base colour, see how gentle pink this is?

Oh man, these pictures are awful. Forgive me. I still remember this one, it was impossible to photograph. The sun made my camera completely miss my hand and so it wouldn't do a sharp photo to save my life (or its), and since this is a scattered not to intenisve holo, the moment I put my hand more in the shadow, it went completely holo-less. *sigh* So this is the best I could do.

It's three coats, my nails were longer at this point and the brush was ok in this bottle. The formula is a bit watery, but nothing one can't handle. For me this is too gentle of a colour, it's in the same area as Color Club Fashion Addict, also a bit too gentle for my taste. It's such a soft pink it boarders on white in the shadow, and I don't do colours like this, even if they are holographic.

What do you think of 403? Any suggestions on names?

Thank you for reading!

Eveline Holografic Shine days: 401

Hello everyone! How are you doing? It's sooo hot in Slovenia!! Although the storm is coming, I was jogging when the lightning started to appear over the hill here nearby and it was magical. Gorgeous, I love the twilight (the time of the day!) combined with the wind and the smell of rain in the air, it makes jogging so much more fun.

How about we finally get this show on the road? I hope you're still with me! We're going to do it by numbers, it's the easiest way. I've already shown you one, 412, I call it Rain-bowl of berries, one of my favourites. 401, I call it Sandy, is also one of my favourites, if not my favourite of them all.

To see the base colour, this is a pretty soft light, then again, the holo effect on Holografic shine isn't very intense.

This was two coats, I think, my nails are rather short, when they've gotten longer, I needed a third one. Surprised by what colour is my favourite? So was I. I expected to only swatch this one and then remove it, but the minute I put it on i fell in love with it. It's such an ... elegant colour, it makes me feel classy, yet not boring because of the holo rainbow.

Holografic shine doesn't have a very extreme holo effect, yet it is there, and it's still more intense than my pictures show, although not by much. Brush is so-so, some of the bottles have extremly wonky brush. It's nothing too terrible though. And it dries really fast.

What do you think about Sandy?

Thank you for reading!

Breaking the rules

Heeey darlings! I miss you just so effing much I'm breaking my own rules and typing this away to say 'hi'. Welcome, new people, and thank you all for such lovely comments you've been sending me, I love reading them, they really make my day. I honestly didn't think I'd miss blogging so much. I mean, don't get me wrong, I have great fun blogging, reading other blogs, interacting with you lovely people, but that I'll miss it this much? I didn't think I would.

I'm still very diligently taking pictures of my manis, of course buying polish (although I'm still officially on no-buy, hah) and just thinking about what I'll write on the blog once I'll have the time. I already have two themes, one is already promised Eveline Holografic Shine week, the other, thanks to my wonderful nail polish guru Tevta that bought me the polish on her trip to Italy, a Kiko week. Preview pics!

With Kikos I'm making some comparisons too and the white one seems like a very good substitute for competely sold out White Cap that I crave. :) Yay!

Oh, just to let you know - new Essence and Catrice polishes will be down to a minimum here at DSSNP. Why? Not because I wouldn't want them, because some colours just effing ROCK, but because I'm, like mentioned before, supposedly on a no-buy deal with myself ... no-buy deal kinda looks like the new Kikos I got, 4 packages I'm currently expecting, around 5 polishes bought on my way home in the last two weeks and one third of my stash still untried. So not really a no-buy deal, wouldn't you say? Well, unless you're like me in a very strong denial and don't count swapping as buying nail polish. Because I buy it for someone else, right? Right? Right?? AND every nail polish junkie knows that you just *have* to buy LE polish, if you like the colour. Because it's LE, it won't be there anymore few months later! *sigh* There is no end for me. I'm getting the dragon laying on its heap of polish mental picture here again ..:)

Seriously though, the only thing that bugs me (because I love swapping and buying nail polish, so I don't really have a bad conscience here, I just pretend to have it) is my heap of untrieds. That I'd really like to go through by the end of study period. Right now I'm changing colours almost every day, it's such a nice break from studying, polish remover fumes mixed with B3F fumes, aaah ...

So as you can see, I'm alive, studying as much as I can and totally not forgetting about nail polish or you! And here is a manicure for Nail crazy, because she made me smile on a very bad day with her comment saying she's missing my nails. :) Picture holds a certain milestone for me too - I wore yellow for the first time. And I effing loved it. Yellow is on!

Essence Yellow Fellow with p2 Black Explosion crackle. Is it just me or something is wrong with blogger pics? It looks sharp on my computer, but here it's somewhat blurry ...

Untill next time, keep your fingers crossed for me, big exams next week!

Eveline Holografic Shine - 412

Hello darlings! Beautiful day, isn't it? Awesome, love it when it's so sunny. I have to run in a short time, but before I do, let me show you my NOTD, what say you? Now, today was a bit of nail polish torture for me. First I did one of the red comparisons, because I needed the sun for this particular group - in case you're interested, I'll probably start my Red Comparison Week next week. We'll see how I'll be with the time, k? I want to have at least half of the week already prepared before I launch it, in case I run out of time while executing the themed week. Yes, I'm a bit of a control freak. But anyway. After doing the comparison a failed manicure happened to me. I hate it when that happens! The colour didn't feel right and then I messed up the crackle varnish on top of it so everything had to go. I went holographic then, and this is what I'm showing you now. I'm so lucky with these Eveline babies. Tevta already found 11 colours for me! She's a magician when it comes to getting cool colours! I started with 4 of those I gave away in my giveaway and now I see they also have a pretty nice range of colours! I'll probably hoard them for future giveaways, also some for swapping. I know this isn't the strong linear holo everybody adores, but hell, I love them for their scattered holo too. They're lovely.

As you can see, holo effect isn't strong, it's down to a minimum in soft light. But I like the warm, berry colour of this one. Tevta surprised me with it the last time we had coffee and I immediately separated it from the bunch. I'd call this Rain-bowl of Barries. Ahaha, silly name, I know. But I don't like numbers much, I can never connect them with a colour. Except with Nfu Oh.

This was two coats, I later on put a TC on, just because I'd go insane if I messed up my mani again today. The brush wasn't the nices, it was curved a bit on one side, thus giving me some troubles. But nothing major, I hope it's only a small defect of this particular bottle. The bottle contains 4,5 ml (a random conventer says that's 0.15 fl oz) and it costs 1,75€ (2,5 $). Despite the weird brush I love this colour. It's so perfect for a day like this and the colour is springy enough for me to adore it.

The obvious question is - with 10 more Holografic Shine Evelines, would you like an extended week of it? Or do you prefer it random, every once in a while? :) What do you think about 412 aka Rain-bowl of Barries? ;)

Thank you for reading, have a great day! *muah*
