New In ~ A haul post

New month, new haul post! This month I was a good girl and wore the nail polish I already have. However, I finally, finally put my hair treatment to a full circle, meaning, I bought new shampoos and conditioners. Naturally now comes the testing phase. But, honestly, I do not think it can get worse than what my scalp looks and feels like now.

Like always, a group photo. A bit of make up (a very nice surprise there as well), mostly stuff for hair and a bit for my skin as well.

Hair and skin
oh look, you can see my lightbox lamp here! say hi, lamp!

Let's do the big haul first. It was actually gradual, but it happened in this month. I mentioned several times before that I need new products for my hair and I ran out of toner and night cream, so I guess it was the month to really buy the stuff I actually needed. Which is good!

Paul Mitchell Spring Loaded Fizz-Fighting Conditioner
Ok, so my first encounter with Paul Mitchell was not the best. But I went to my awesome hairdresser again and I checked her stash again and I checked the ingredient list REALLY WELL and decided to pamper myself with another expensive-as-hell (24 EUR and do not dare to judge me) conditioner. I used it twice now and it is pure magic. Hair like silk, especially when combined with Redken Anti-snap leave in treatment. Ah yes. I will let you know after I am at least down to one third of the bottle, how it worked in the long run, ok?
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shampoo
I got this in Germany, it was on sale for 4,99€ , an extra big tube and I remembered Mateja praising the thing, so I bought it on a whim. Later on I realised she was talking about the conditioner of the same line, not shampoo, but hey, I already have it, might as well use it. And so far so good. I use it on my lenght, not scalp and it is a good shampoo. I have it for about a month, so I'll get back to you after a while on the decent review.

Derma E Scalp Relief Shampoo
You have no idea how happy I was when I saw this new thingie on Iherb. I adore Derma E. It is the brand that works for my skin best, and not just mine, but my mother's as well, which is probably the biggest test you can give to a cosmetics line. It is awesome, and this is their brand new shampoo for fighting dandruff. I have no idea how it works, I got it today and I am washing my hair after I post this. It cannot possibly be a bigger disappointment than La Roche Posay Kerium. Cost an arm and a leg and was worse for me than washing my hair with ... well, anything, really, anti-dandruff or no. My scalp and my dandruff at this point are in the worst state of the past two years and I thought at the end of the year 2014 that I cannot get any worse.
So I am keeping my fingers crossed for this one! It actually a good price, I got it for 9,40 USD or little under 8,50€ EUR, of course I need to add the shipping and the customs, but it is still a good price for a higher range shampoo. Let us hope it works as well.

Omnia Botanica Argan Oil
DM had 50% off coupon for this baby, so I gave it a go, otherwise I deem it too expensive. I use this for everything, dry spots on my face (although these will probably disappear now that I bought the face toner), for my hair ends and whenever I need some high end oil. I love the package, it comes with a dropper, for a really precise usage. I got it for 7,00€.

Derma E Soothing Toner
Like I said, huge fan of Derma E. This is my third toner I am trying from their line, and I am excited about it. Iherb had 20% off beauty products and naturally my favourite one got sold out, so I had perfect excuse to try this one (got it for about 9 €). If my previous experiences with Derma E are any indication, this will rock my world. Or skin, at least.

Derma E Visibly Clear Moisturiser
I am planning to use this at night. You could say my facial skin is demanding. I say it is a little diva bitch. It is dry on some areas, but if I use anything too moisturising, I get spots on other areas of my skin, not to mention the constant struggle with black spots. So I will give this a go during night. For 11,20€ is is actually one of the more affordable facial creams I bought in the past few years.

iHerb file for nails. I realised as I updated the photos it really looks like a free advertisement for the page, when I put it on like this. I like that it is green though. And I really like iHerb, I order there all the time.

Makeeee uppp!

Bourjois Volume Glamour MAX definition
So. IsaDora Big Bold Lashes is crap. Do not buy it, it smudges like crazy, and nothing EVER smudges under my eyes. Very disappointed. When Müller had its 20% off make up, I bought my favourite mascara so far, the monster-pink Bourjois and I am happy again. I think it is around 12€ normally, I got it for under 10€.

Essence Love & Sound black eyeliner with three points I bought because I thought it can be either really weird and bad or phenomenal. It is actually a good eyeliner! And I love the three lines. It doesn't actually show on my eyelid, but on the outer line it shows nicely. It was really cheap, especially with the 20% off it was under 2€.

And now for the biggest surprise I got from licila.si. TODAY! I never expected it, and they wanted it that way. I <3 MAKE UP I <3 obsession eyeshadow palette. JUST LOOK AT EEEET! Utterly gorgeous everyday colour set, that can be turned also in a nice soft smokey eyes for night (especially with a bold red/purple lip!), I cannot imagine a girl that would hate wearing these. I cannot wait to play with them, I will do a decent review ASAP. And another picture of I <3 obsession, because I lahv it.

So yeah, looks like May is going to be a fun month, with all the new gems and toys!

Why gorgeous thingies have you gotten for yourselves lately?

Have a wonderful week and thank you for reading and commenting!

New In ~ A Haul Post

Hey everyone! How are you doing? It is a beautiful day here in Ljubljana and I had a great family gathering for most of it, it was fun! And I am totally going jogging after I finish this post. :)

These are the things I got in August. I am really happy with them, I finally got a few things from licila.si I really wanted to buy for a while ago, and a few surprises I bought on a whim.

Let's start with my licila.si orders, yes?

I made two orders there last month. First one because of the nice offers, I got Makeup Revolution Vivid Blush Lacquer in Desire, becuase I adore the Rush shade they send me for a review. From Makeup Revolution I also got nail polish in Are You Still Available?, because the swatch Nihrida made really stole my heart and I wanted to see if the brush is the same in every bottle. Alas it is.
I Heart Make Up Wow Gloss No Need To Panic I bought on a whim, because I Heart Make Up lipstick really convinced me to buy more make up made by them. And it is a great lip gloss, more like a liquid lipstick (I generally dislike sheer glosses), I just wish it would be a tad bit less pink and more purple. Still, it is a great, really nice wearable colour.
Barry M Liquid Eyeliner (shade is simply called 03) was my substitute purchase for Beauty UK Blue Lagoon that was out of stock ATM of choosing my items. It is a matte eyeliner, so I said I need it anyways. And it is utterly gorgeous. It does smudge easier, comparing to Beauty UK, but nevertheless. It is a matte cobalt blue eyeliner, that looks gorgeous on the eyes, I got tons of compliments wearing it.
Konad Matte Topcoat was on sale and as my Essence matte TC is turning into a toothpaste, I decided to get it. Hopefully I will be able to stamp with it too.

Aaand then I got an email that Beauty UK Blue Lagoon was back in stock (the page has this option, that they notify you when the item you desire comes back in stock, quite neat). And I couldn't resist, even with Barry M eyeliner romance I was having at that moment. And I do no regret buying them both, not one bit. Blue Lagoon is more vibrant and it stays on the eyes just as permanently as its sisters.
I decided on a whim to get the Beauty UK Posh Pout Sugar Plum Fairy tinted lip balm, because I am trying to get something for the lips that I could wear to work without too much correcting over the day. Still, I kind of felt like I just bought an overpriced lip balm. So it is quite ridiculous how much I love this product. It gives a bit of colour, actually more than I expected, it is moisturising, and insanely easy to apply and re-apply. The colour actually stays on for quite a while. Total love. I am discovering the usefulness and beauty of the subtle lip shade.

And some swatches. Barry M and Beauty UK eyeliners are insanely inaccurate. All the gals that have H&M Blue My Mind nail polish shade, you know, the vibrant blue creme? Both are in that vein of blue, with Blue Lagoon being a bit more deeper blue, less pastel comparing to Barry M. The rest of swatches are accurate, that's why I am posting them.

I did a quick comparison for you of Makeup Revolution Liquid Blush in Rush and Desire, from top to bottom: Rush, Desire, Barry M Liquid Eyeliner (totally inaccurate!) and I heart Makeup Wow lipgloss in No Need to Panic.

Natural daylight:
Beauty UK Posh Pout in Sugar Plum Fairy and Beauty UK Blue Lagoon (again inaccurate, it is by far more deep and vibrant blue).

A shot of both Vivid Blush Lacquer. See how it looks like Desire (on the right) is more used than Rush? I already thought my bottle is a dud, because I pumped it for two days, every days for a couple of minutes, and nothing happened. Then all of the sudden it jumped to one quarter of the bottle and the product came out without a problem. As I do not use a lot of it (even with regular use, as you need just the tiniest blob of blush), I do not mind, but it did surprise me, like the bottle had air inside or something. Anyway. I adore Desire, it is less pink blush and a lot more wearable. I am buying a lot of blushers for someone who thinks two to three are more than enough for one person. :) But I love how good these are, they stay on the cheeks the entire day. Ever since I got my stippling brush to apply them they are pure magic.

I also got three sets of water decals and stickers from Born Pretty Store, I am already making some manis with them, swatches will follow.

I couldn't resist, I needed to buy the Balea Mango Mambo Bodylotion, even though I have waaaay too many body lotions at home. I adore mango and this lotion is actually really good, it smells divine.

Radenska Naturelle is a water spray refreshener for the face, when I saw it in store I was so curious I needed to buy it, plus, I thought I will need it regularly, as I worked outside whole day and I expected a very hot August (ha ha. hahahaha. ha). It is actually a lovely thing, very refreshing.

And that is it. If you want any special reviews, let me know in  the comments!

What is the favourite thing you got in August?

Thank you for reading and commenting, have a lovely start of the new week!

Spotlight on my favourites: Beauty UK Pearl Eyeliners

Heya my beauties! Today I want to start with a new thread, that I was planning on starting for quite a while. I'm quite excited about it, to tell you the truth. :) I always love to read about your favourite product. I always learn about awesome products, usually if I try them out as well, they are really great and all in all it is a great system of letting each other know about the products that rock.

As my make up collection expanded, I tried million things. Lots of them are already re-sold, since I didn't use them or I threw them away, since they were such a disappointment. But every once in a while I find a real gem. And it gets into my regular routine and it stays there. For years. My first thought, when I think about gems like that certainly are my Beauty UK Pearl Eyeliners

I discovered them on Nihrida's blog, she made this amazing post on them, including the video, where she put them on her skin and literally tried to rub them off and they didn't even smudge!! Needless to say I purchased them as soon as I had the money. And this was two years ago and I still use them almost every day. They are my go-to make up, when I do not have enough time for eyeshadows, I just do a line in a colour I feel like wearing that day and that's it.

The package is awesome, best looking eyeliners out there. If you think it is hence impractical, you are mistaken - the handle fits into your palm nicely. On this picture you can actually see how much I already used them, Rich mahogany is half full, same goes for Oceania, the other three are down to two thirds.

They do not smudge in hot weather and I have quite oily eyelids. I do not need to use primer at all. Once they are dry on the eyelid, they won't go anywhere. In fact, if you have a bad make up remover, they will make you work in order to remove them. They are that good (my Bioderma micelar water removes them quickly though, without any tugging).

The application is really easy, as their point is stiff and pointy enough that you can make a precise line. They are really well pigmented, the only one that demands a bit more attention and perhaps three swipes on the eyes is the turquoise Oceania. Of course that is also my favourite, as I have brown eyes, the contrast they make together is quite nice. :)

When it comes to pigmentation, Rich Mahogany rules the set. One swipe is enough with it, dead easy to apply and a true rich brown, it looks amazing for everyday make up, alone or with eyeshadow.
Eclipse is a really nicely pigmented sparkly black, not a true black, it feels like a night sky, not pitch black and full of stars. Sorceress is a rich dark purple and Purple Haze a rich bright purple, and also my second favourite. They are both fairly nicely pigmented, the line is full with two swipes.

On sunlight:
 In shade:

I usually pick Rich Mahogany for more subtle make up, and the rest for just about anytime I can. I love the set. The only real question now is, why on Earth haven't I purchased Blue Oceania yet! I need it in my stash ASAP. The other two colours are silver Stardust and gold Sphyx, but those two I really shan't use anytime, not really my colours, I think. Although I can imagine you can do wonders with a silver one. I just might buy it, these eyeliners are worth every penny.

And you would think they are expensive, since they are so good, but they are really cheap. I bought them back then at licila.si, now the price for one is 5,95€. At Beauty UK official site they cost £3.49. Either way - a total bargain, especially when you think I use them practically every day for two years now and they are still at least half full. If you are in search for a good eyeliner, I recommend you look them up.

What is your favourite eyeliner?

Still alive and wearing nail polish

Good evening my dear people! Long time no speak-y! *poor imitation of Manny's voice* Seriously, it's been so long since my last blog entry I feel weird typing this away. And earlier on when I edited the pictures I was all clumsy, already out of the routine, hehe. I've had the most wonderful Summer so far. As you know, after my last exam I went to Spain for a week. Well, after two days back home my BF took me to Czech Republic to a festival and after 4 days there I immediately started with a summer class at my college. Quite voluntarily! It was a brilliant theme that I enjoyed greatly and the professor (from the USA, not ours) was this incredible person that I'm really honoured to have met. Well, after that I took a few days off, I finally continued with reading last book from A Song of Ice and Fire saga, A Dance with Dragons and before I knew it, we were up north in our little cottage of peace and I was cut off computer again. Not that I minded, I had some great books with me, great company and awesome view of the mountains.

In short: time flies when you're having fun. I of course haven't forgotten about my little make up obsessions and I still checked your blogs when I had an hour to spare. So how about I show you what I've bought in Spain make up related? I'm also planning to do my travelling posts about Spain, if you're still interested in reading them, as soon as I get the photos (that will be much better this time, a friend of mine, mistress of photography, has done them with her epic camera!). But for today let's check out my purchases in make up department, as I owe them to KrvavaMeri too (she has awesome, truly awesome blog: mejkap.si, certainly one of my favourite on entire make up blogsphere).

Just because my lightbox made them look funny, this is how they look like. Actually the concealer is not as white ... *sigh* that's why I don't do make up swatches, I'm afraid.

In case you're wondering about the info on products. The copper eyeliner misbehaved so I'm giving you its number here: 403.

Actually my number 1 make up destination in Madrid was Inglot. I really want a couple of Inglot shades and stuff ... alas, we didn't manage to get there. Madrid is big, as you can imagine. So if something is 'on the edge of Madrid, not quite out but not quite in either' that takes a couple of hours with public transport and search for the shop and choosing the colours etc. ... being for the first time in Madrid and only for 3 days, I didn't want that chunk of time taken from enjoyment of discovering Spain capital so I let it pass and did a mental note on road trip to Zagreb. :) But we still had El Corte Inglés and Kiko! And boy oh boy did I enjoy browsing through all the counters. The prices were too high most of the time, from Bobbi Brown to MAC and Urban Decay and so on ... sorry, just can't afford it. But I liked looking at it. :) The good thing about having them close is that when you actually see the products and test them, a lot of them lose a bit of the charm you see on them when drooling over some amazing swatches on the Internet. But when I saw I can get basically two Sephora eye shadows for the price of one (well, the second one cost 1€ if you bought two) I said I'll take some risk, especially since I saw a couple of shades I'd love to have. I took the two and ... wow. I'm shocked by how amazingly pigmented are they! Seriously awesome purchase, I love both of them! So Sephora is definitively worth the money, although the regular price for one (around 12 euro) seemed a bit much still. But you really get an amazing product for the cash!

Second was Kiko. I had a wishlist for Kiko, actually. Luckily, like I said before, some magic is lost when you are there, trying the testers, seeing the fall-out on glitter eye shadows and so on. Oh, and a little girl, who her mother obviously ignored, scratching the testers so the floor was full of crushed eyeshadow  ... ouch. But Madrid's Kiko is a crammed place, so you can lose yourself in that chaos quite fast. Anyway ... the assistants were very lovely and kind and so I got my concealer, one eyeshadow that I couldn't say no to and two amazing eyeliners, insanely good eyeliners, seriously! And a blush. My first official blush, can you believe it. Krvava Meri made me reconsider this product with her great entries on it (I used to think it's completely useless on me) and I'm quite amazed by the affect it leaves on the face. So I'm glad I bought it. It looks very natural on me and I wanted that, having always bold eye make up on.

Ah, here I go again, talking and talking and talking about make up. Wait 'till I get to the cities I visited. ;)

Do you have any Kiko or Sephora products? Can you recommend some especially? What have you been up to in these past few weeks? Do tell! :)

Thank you for reading!

Paket Petek

Oh yes, another Package Friday! You know I'm loving those! This time more make up, less about nails. I've decided I'll clear my secret WL a bit and since I went crazy with eye make up since I got the brushes, I of course wanted to clear my WL of EL. This is what I got in my mailbox on Tuesday:

Licila.si had a cool offer, when you bought for a certain amount of money, you got a present and you could choose which one too! Awesome! I picked the Konad plate and I can't wait to use it. :))

4 Beauty UK eyeliners, two pearl, two metallic sparks. I blame the gorgeous Nihrida for those. I think her review on Beauty UK Pearl eyeliners was a bit revolutionary for me. When I watched that smudge test the room got full of strange light and you could hear a distant heavenly 'AaaAAaaAAaahh'. I wanted them. Right in that moment, in my hands. Imagine my happiness when I discovered licila.si holds the Beauty UK brand. Yes!! I've ordered three right away and they are in all meanings of the word pure Perfection. No faults. So I knew it's only a matter of time before I order more. This time Oceania and Purple Haze, Oceania being my wild card. That's also why I was drawn to it the most and tried it out right away. I just might created my favourite look of all times with it. It's SO gorgeous!!
Anyway. When I also saw another fantastic review made by Nihrida (not to mention the eye looks!) on Metallic Sparks my list got a bit long. And even now they had the Bronze one out of stock. *sad sigh* Oh well, I have an excuse for another order, hehe. Right now I got Green and Purple. Yum! Wearing mostly black really pays off. You can have every colour on your eyes and nails and still it's not too much. :D

Colour wheel I picked for my green shimmer comparison. I don't have the time to do another big comparison on my nails, so I decided I'll try the famous nail wheel, to spot the dupes.

Are you a fan of EL? Do you prefer gel, liquid or pencil? :) And what was in your latest package?

Thank you for reading!
