NOTD: OPI Take The Stage and Zoya Myrta

Heya guys! Today I have for you a quick NOTD I am wearing right now. I already showed you I got O.P.I. Take the stage mini and it was about time I wore it as well. I wanted to do a simply accent mani, as I seriously lacked time to do something more innovative. I thought Zoya Myrta might be a cool bright accent, only to realise when putting it on, it is way to close to Take the Stage. Oh well. :)

I really like the sparkly Take the Stage. It is a part of O.P.I. Burlesque Collection for Winter 2010 (omg, really, I feel like it was released two years ago!!) and I remember everyone went mental for the collection and I didn't get why. Take the Stage is actually a gorgeous copper foil, I love it, so I am glad I got it. I takes 3 coats to be opaque on my really short nails, I imagine I would need to work for it to be opaque on longer nails.

Zoya Myrta is a part of Zoya Surf Collection for Summer 2012, full of bright foils and definitively one of my favourite collections out there. I adore Myrta as well, such a rich orange. Two coats and you are done.

Yeah. The combo seems a bit pointless, but I love both nail polishes, so it is all good. :)

What's on your nails today?

Essence - Be Optimistic

Hey guys! How are you doing? It's a lazy Sunday. The weather is so sad and I'm having a post-concert laziness in my bones. It was a cool night yesterday. Thanks to my studies I put concerts down to a minimum and so I enjoyed it even more when I finally went out after a while. But I got so tired I fell asleep with my contacts and full make up still on, my BF woke me up after a couple of hours of sleeping, and I almost ran to the bathroom to clean everything off. I felt like I did some great injustice to my poor skin, I really take care of removing my make up every day, so my skin is clean for the beauty sleep. *sigh* Oh well, it's good that only now it's the first time that happened to me, I guess. :)

Today an Essence beauty from the new sortiment. This one was my number one on the list to buy. Great copper orange, epic win polish.

Two coats, application is a bit tricky, it can get brush-stroky fast, so you have to be a bit careful about that. But look at the colour! It's sooooo gorgeous. IMO one of the best Essence ever made.

Your thoughts? Which ones did you get from the new sortiment?

Thank you for reading!

Petites Color Fever - 24k Gold scotch tape accent mani

Hey guys! How about a little bling bling for today's grey day? I got this in one of our swap packages and I was surprised Kris sent 24k Gold (appearantly a dupe for Milani Gold Glitz) to me. It didn't feel like me, I normally don't wear gold at all, but then I saw the orange/copper glitter mixed with the gold one and I was immediately drawn to it. And when I finally put it on it was love. Come on, look at the orange/copper glitter in the mids of all the gold!! It's fantastic!! I did a scotch tape accent nail for fun, with Catrice Wine-tastic, as always my inspiration for scotch tape is the wonderful Erica from Chloe's Nails.

Pictures!

Isn't it amazing??! The copper glitter totally makes my day! And ladies, this was only two freaking coats! The application was amazing, really, so so easy. The polish is quite blingy, but in a good way. I needed two coats of TC, it was still slighly rough, but nothing one can't handle. I freakishly love it. Like I usually love all the "wild cards" Kris sends me, she knows my colours. This one was on my nails for three or four days. So you know I loved it, the whole package. Awesome!

What do you think about 24k Gold?

Lumene - Trouble Maker (33)

Hey everybody! How are you doing? I hope everybody is ok, I'm going through my study literature but wanted to take a break and post something. A lot of stuff going on on nail blogosphere, I saw promo pictures of Nubar Spring collection, first swatches of Orly Precious is out, Essence is doing holographic polish (at least I hope they will be holograpic and not that white-blue crap they claimed to be holo in Black&White collection) and many more I'd like to chat about but don't have the time. Sucks, doesn't it?

But to the polish I want to show you. It's the other from the two Lumenes I got as a gift from Finland, this one chosen by Aelfsciene and I must say, it surprised me greatly. I mean it. One of the most special polish I've ever wore. I still can't figure out what colour I'd call it. Trouble Maker, sunlight pictures, lightbox, natural light and a video. Let's go.

To show you all the colours of sparkles this one contains.

Natural lighting, this is how it looks most of the time, but with visible sparkles.

A really huge picture, to show you the details on natural light. I don't even hold the bottle, lol.

Ok, please, please ignore the major fail of scotch tape design I tried to do and just enlarge the picture to see the details of this polish, that is visible with naked eye on most of lighting but on the pictures it came out best in the lightbox.

A not so good video, but you can still see the sparkles.

I tried to figure out this colour and could not. It changes depending on the lighting and so is the amount of micro glitter that is visible to the naked eye. Sometimes it's goldish brown, sometimes it's dirty silver and sometimes just something in between. The glitter it contains is of gold, bright green, copper, blue also purple colour. Tons of it, but visible in that kind of way that makes you stare at your nails moving them slowly.  This colour is so brilliant, I cannot tell you. Mesmerizing.
The structure of the polish is the same as it is with Cosmic FX collection, actually it reminded me greatly of Space Cadet alone, being so sheer as the Orly masterpiece. On the picture I'm wearing 4 coats of Trouble Maker, the same as i need with Space Cadet. You can get away with three, but you'll have VNL, and I prefer to put 4th coat on instead of seeing my nails under the polish. SV on top, of course. The brush was great, as it was with Cosmic girl, again a surprise, being so short and flat, but it really is no trouble at all.

I tried to get Lumene's description of the colour, but they aren't really chatty on their official site. Trouble Maker is a part of Natural Code Punk Princess Trend Collection for Fall 2010, and Finnish blogger said it seemed from the bottle as a decent dupe of Hard Candy Mr. Wrong (Scrangie's swatches of the Hard Candy Collection). Seeing the swatches of Mr. Wrong and wearing Trouble Maker I must say they're certainly not dupes, but are related. They're built the same way, although Mr. Wrong is much more silver and blue, and Trouble Maker remains most of the time this soft brownish copper metallic kind of colour. Like I said, I can't figure it out.
This colour is a beautiful mystery for me, I can't figure out where to put it, and it's built on so many different levels with micro glitter and different tones of colours in different lighting, you feel like you're not wearing just one polish on the nails, although it's not a duo/multichrome. I wore it for three days, and I would the fourth, haven't I screwed it up with failed edgy half moon manicure I tried to do from Chloe's Nails. :/ It really came out wrong, lol, I can't believe I'm posting it. But this lightbox picture really reveals lots of Trouble Maker details.

Oh, and Trouble Maker lives up to it's name when removing. Remember removal of Cosmic collection? Same stuff aaaall over again. But gotta love the colour. Thanks, Aelfsciene, great one!

What do you think? Do you find it as unique as I do?

Thank you for reading & take care!

SpaRitual - Can You Dig It?

Heeello everybody! I see some major love for CG crackles, I feel you, ladies, I can hardly wait for them myself. :) It looks like a great start of 2011 for CG. :) But until then - I have only 8 Latvia polish bottles to show you! Let's see another SpaRitual, and ladies, this one I like! It's a 100% autum beauty.

Can You Dig It? is a beautful dark purple based colour with copper shimmer that is so dense, you almost get frosty finish. If you enlarge the pictures, you'll see the base colour more clearly, sadly 3 coats really hide it well, with two it's much more obvious, but as you know, for me SpaRitual is a total 3 coater. Still, on the nail purple is visible, especially on the edges and with the shimmer combinaition it makes a killer shade for Fall. This screams to me forest colours of Fall. I really like it. Yep, the second SpaRitual I really like in the stash, yay! Still, I wish they'd apply more nicely, I hate how hard it is to even the layers. Do you have the same problems, or do you manage to get two coats out of SpaRitual? I dunno, man, if I only had problems with one, i'd say I had a bad day, but now it's the sixth bottle and still same crap. I guess I'm just not for their brush or something.

What do you think about Can You Dig It? Like it, or would you call "Fall" colour some different shade?

Thank you for reading & have a nice evening!
