NOTD: Myrza envies the lemondrops

Heya everyone! Can I get an extra point for making up a silly name for this mani? :) As I showed you yesterday, I got a lovely package of nail polish. And when I got them out, I couldn't decide which one to put on first. So I just combined three of them, although I wanted the fourth one there too - the Kiwi one. The three I combined were Barielle Myrza's Meadow and Lemondrops plus Color Club Glitter Envy.

First, Barielle Myrza's Meadow. It was my lemming for years and finally I got it. And I was so happy to see it didn't disappoint. It is on my nails right now and I still love it. The shade of jade green is perfect and the scattered holo glitter is fine and on the subtle side once on the nails, it is a wonderful combination. Needs only two coats too. It was part of Barielle Spring 2010 Wildflower Collection. Now I am on the hunt for June Bug from the same collection.

Barielle Lemondrops is a perfect bright yellow creme. I searched for something like this a while now. For a yellow polish it is very easy to work with. It needs two coats on most of my nails, on the longest a third, but on shorties two will be enough. I love the brightness! It was part of Barielle Summer 2009 Collection. Apparently there was a re-release in Summer 2013, but judging by my bottle, it is from the older collection. :)

Last, Color Club Glitter Envy is really bright neonish green with holographic glitter in it that is quite dense. It applies easily in two coats, and it is somewhat gritty, but nothing too extreme. What was my biggest disappointment with this nail polish was that it chipped in like two days. And I mean major chipping, up to one third of my nail. It looked even worse since both Barielles still looked perfect right next to it. I will wear it again for sure to test it again, but ATM it is not my favourite nail polish. It was a part of Color Club Summer 2011 Starry Temptress Collection, in this one I love Otherworldly as well.

When Glitter Envy chipped so terribly I removed it and put Lemondrops on instead. I love this combo even more.

Barielle, man. I need more Barielle in my life. :) And I am already tempted to put water decals over Lemondrops.

What is on your nails today? Any particular Barielle shade you would recommend?

New In ~ A Haul Post pt. 2

Heya darlings! I usually post New In posts in the end of the month or the very beginning of the second one, but July was a bit busy with all the packages. I already showed you what I bought and gotten here, but just after I left Ljubljana for about a week, three packages came into my mail box and for these I am super excited. If any of you already thought I forgot about nail polish - I sure as hell did not. It's just that I got a bit pickier. :)

Nail polish!! I did a swap with a lovely lady at Moj butik and well, killed some lemmings. Barielle Mryza's Meadow was on my WL now for about three years. One of the rare shades I wanted since the beginning of my nail polish obsession and until now. And now I finally have it and the best part is, it did not disappoint on the nails.

Second lemming killed - a good yellow creme, again Barielle, shade Lemondrops. I love it and it is perfect in two coats!

Color Club Glitter Envy is amazing neonish green with glitter, a unique neon I put on my WL the moment I saw it at Scrangie's.

O.P.I. mini Take the Stage looks like a perfect reddish copper and Essence Fruity LE One Kiwi A Day is probably the only LE Essence I have on my WL, because I love the combo of greens and glitter and because I adore the name, with the Kiwi in it.

Buying a topcoat was loooong overdue. Everything I had at home applied like a toothpaste, it was a nightmare. Invincible Dry Fast Top Coat is, so say the gals online, everything Seche Vite is without all the cons SV has - shrinkage, smell and fast drying in the bottle. We shall see. Right now I of course adore it, I swear my mani was dry under 2 minutes. And I mean stone dry! Awesomeness. We'll see how it goes when I'm down to half the bottle.

Ah yes, another gorgeous package from ličila.si. I <3 Makeup is a sub-brand of Makeup Revolution and it appeals to me somewhat more, I don't know why. Maybe the effect of the two products I got, the Brows set in Fairest of Them All is really awesome, I already tried it. But the lipstick. Ah, the lipstick. I am ridiculously in love with the shade. I heart makeup, line I heart my lips, shade Racing Heart, a perfection. <3

And I almost forgot: free shipping until end of August at ličila.si! Skorajda sem pozabila, zastonj poštnina do konca avgusta za vse bralke! KODA: BLOG-POSTNINA

Finally, a small purchase:

Essence Eye Blender Brush. I found it in our local Müller. You can't have too many brushes anyway and this one was a bargain. And before that my outcome of Essence brushes was 50:50, let's see how this one will turn out.

These packages made my week, really, I love what I've gotten. Reviews will follow, if you have any extra wishes what should come first, as always, let me know in the comments.

What did you get in your mailbox lately?

Color Club ~ Gossip Column

Heya everyone! How are you? How is your end of Summer going? I'm already reaching for more Fall-ish colours for my nails and Gossip Column is definitively one of them. It is a beautiful teal colour, I craved it for so long. And worn it only once. Typical. Still, it is one of my favourite shades ever. I remember buying like 3 dupes or something like that, thinking I must have this shade no matter what. Only to realise back home I have it already. I kept the Color Club one because it is perfect all around.

Two coats, wonderful application, great formula. I like Color Club, I don't know why I don't have more shades made by them. I need to wear this baby soon.

What is your favourite Fall colour?

Paket petek

Isn't it awesome I can do another Paket petek (Package Friday)?? You know why it's awesome? That's right, because that means Ulmiel got a package full of goodies this week!

The customs sent their love right before I went on my roadtrip. I wasn't very happy about it, since basically, I could have had the package already in my hands, if there wasn't for the customs procedure. Oh well ... they finally sent it right on the day I got back to Slovenia, so when I got home, the package awaited me. Torn, poorly stuck together with a short piece of duct tape and with two (!) polishes completely out of the bubble wrap (you know, so they could easily hit each other and break, why make it hard for them and unwrap only one?)! Not only did they tear it, they took them out and didn't bother at all to wrap them again. Can I mention too that one of these two was one of my biggest lemmings in nail polish ever, Nubar Greener? My wrath disturbed the Force that day, really. Not for long though, I got SO happy about the package, it was pure and utter perfection. I love my swap buddy, seriously, she rocks.

Not one but TWO from *the* Nubar collection for me, Greener and Forest! I honestly couldn't sit anymore when I saw them in the package. The entire package is perfect, but these two really made me go

The gif was probably nicked from the awesome Kaz (Pretty Random). She puts cool stuff like this on the blog, making me laugh like hell.

As for the eyeshadows. I know, I know. I keep telling everyone who is willing to listen I have a strict no-buy in eyeshadow department. And now this. I blame it on Kelly (Vampy Varnish). Who can say no to a product she presents so amazingly in her post? Not me, no sir. And they really are great.

Perfect package, yes. What did you get in your latest package? Do tell, don't be shy!

Nail polish blogger Challenge day 3

Heya darlings! Another day, another combination for the challenge! This one is kinda special. Because it's my first real attempt at stamping. I got the chance thanks to Born Pretty Store who kindly sent me a Bundle monster plate for a review that i have yet to post, but I will, I promise! I actually love how this turned out.
I'll try to do an accent mani in these posts too, so my ring finger will tend to be a bit different from the rest. Here is the same. I used Color Club Hot Like Lava for stamping on most of my finger and Color Club Cold Metal on my accent finger. Then I mattefied the whole thing with Essence Matt Top Coat and I love how it looks. Pictures!

See how the pattern still shines due to the foil finish of Color Clubs? Love it!

And how it looked before getting mattefied ...

As you can see, I have miles to go before I get the stamping thing. My lines were not perfect at all and it bothered me quite a bit, but then it sort of grew on me with the imperfections and all. Sure, some just might call it sloppy work. We live and learn.

What do you think about this one?

2 Foiled Color Club beauties

And nails for today! Lately I'm big on foil finish. I always liked it, but lately I'm just LOVING it. For a long time I didn't know what this finish is called, actually. So now I know I've been a fan for a while. :D I love how it sparkles and glows.

The Color Club Foiled collection (Fall 2011) sneaked up on me, just as the Misa one did. Just one day I saw it on My Lucid Bubble and my jaw hit the floor with the gorgoeus blue foil Kris showed. I went through the swatches and decided on two of them and she kindly sent them to me.

Cold Metal. Lord Of The Rings, this is so brilliant. Look at it! Deep blue foil, I could stare at my nails whole day long. And the application is so perfect it makes you do another coat just for the sake of applying it. It needs only two coats, maybe you could do with one with shorties, it's really well pigmented. And the brush is awesome and just the whole package perfect! I love it!

Hot Like Lava. On my already painfully shortened nails, it's a relatively fresh mani. The thing that bothers me on this one is how pink it turns out on me. I got the impression from other blogs and swatches this one has a lot more of purple in it than it acutally does. On some light it just looks bright pink. The thing that makes me love this one is that it looks like my nails are switched on, like you switch on a light in your room. This one *glows* with insane intensity, it's unbelievable, my pictures cannot capture that to save my life, but trust me, it does. The application is again perfect, two easy coats.

What really impresses me is how good the application is. If you want perfect foils, Color Club is the brand to go to. The application is just ridiculously easy. And well, gotta love foils. Now I want Perfect Mol-ten too. *sigh* Can you believe I skipped on it, saying I have a similar colour at home already? Silly goose.

What do you think of them? Do you like foil finish?

Color Club - Wild At Heart

Hey everybody! How are  you doing? 230 of you here, woohoo! Thank you. :) It's a lazy day and I'm almost out of  hand creme which is like major SOS. Tomorrow I must buy it asap!

How about we go through some of Tevta's Bday polishes? I have a famous colour for you today, that you probably have seen a billion times before and yet it's too beautiful not to show it again. :) The famous, purple holo goodness called Wild At Heart. Yummy. These are around a week old, I wore it right before my nail shortage. :)

Inside shot, soft lighting. Although the holo effect is down to a minimum, it's still noticable a bit.

This beauty is from Color Club 2009 Fall Collection called - Wild At Heart. And I think Wild At Heart deserves to be the polish that named entire collection, it's definitively one of nail polish worlds best, let alone Color Clubs or this collection. But Wild At Heart collection is one of the best out there, as I can see as I googled it. Not only did Wild At Heart came out with this one, but also Rule Breaker (gorgeus teal-green that I still do not posses) and With Abandon! Very nice! Man, I love Color Club. Not one disappointment from this brand. And I want them *so* bad. Can't wait for their new collection to come out either!

This was two coats, although this is one coater. I did two, just because I basically always do. You can get away with one. It dries superduper fast and you don't need TC with it, but I put it on just to check if the holo effect really gets more subtle with it and it doesn't, at least not with Seche Vite. So there you have it.

I'm sure you all love Wild At Heart, so I'm curious if anyone doesn't? ;)

Color Club Spring Collection preview and another giveaway

Hey people. While I'm relaxing from the studying I just as may ask you for your opinion on new Color Club collection. Bottle photos are out, and some of them are looking goooooooood!

I got the photos on Scrangie's blog, I hope she doesn't mind, click on the nick to go to her page. Not that you don't already know it. ;)

The bottom bottles look soooooooo awesome! From these picutres I want the first, the third, the fourth and the sixth. On the upper picture, with pastels I'm not sure if I want any. Perhaps the fifth one, but I'll need to see some swatches. Anyway. Duochrome, baby!! Color club is so freakishly awesome! Can you believe I don't have a single bottle of Color Club? Sure, I tried them out from Tevta's stash, but a bottle of Color Club being just mine? Not yet! OMG! I know! These look beyond awesome to me. Can't wait for some swatches and I bet I'll want at least 4 colours.

Second thing I want to point out is American Apparel giveaway Sam from Fashion Polish is having.

Now, American Apparel is one of those "I wannaaa" brands for me. Like Eyeko. I just totally want to have them and I can't get them anywhere, and they don't even have the top number of  colours on my WL I want. There were a couple of giveaways of AA I was chanting every day to get, but of course I didn't. I don't know what's with AA that I want so badly. Ever since I saw giant haul Parokeets ladies did, I seriously want them. Colours like Hunter, Peacock, Army Jacket (!!), Malibu Green, Mount Royal, Dynasty, American Violet get me drooling all over my keyboard. Although I know I must know million dupes of Hunter, but all others I wouldn't mind one bit to have. Anyway. Sam gives us the opportunity to get 5 polishes from the new American Apparel line of our choice. From the colours above I think it's quite obvious that won't be a problem. Army Jacket is the third from the left and it's killing me!

Now, I'm curious. What do you think about new Color Club colours? And do you have any brand that you totally want to have, even though it doesn't have the highest number of shades on your WL? :)

Color Club - Snakeskin

Hello everyone!  How are you doing? First of all - hello new people!! :) These past few days have been really shocking for me. I'm just about to get my 200th follower, which is beyond amazing! I'm trying to get through all your blogs - which I haven't discovered before already -  (if i find the link on the profile), but I'm really short on time and there is so many of you. :) I'm gonna get there in time, hopefully. I love finding new blogs through my GFC. :) So - welcome!

Other than that it has been a "Screw you, Ulmiel" day. Seriously. I've slept for three hours I think. My BF woke me up before 6 a.m. I was wondering if I should follow my "kill everyone that wakes you up before 8 a.m." policy, but since he's a perfect match to my highschool dream man list (with exception of feeding on human blood FYI my high shool days were before Twiligth time (luckily!), but I was a total Anne Rice freak;)), I let him pass. :) The weather was just to throw up on, it rained cats and dogs and I came to my college completely wet. Somewhere in the middle of all this I probably pinched a nerve in my back or something, because I basically can't move my left arm without pain. Luckily it ceased a bit, but it still hurts as hell with some movements. Luckily I can type this with only moving my writst and fingers. I somehow managed to get thorugh my classes and then my darling totally made up for early awakening (which wasn't his fault anyway, since he did tell me the day before about the early rising hour :)) - he picked me up and drove me home where he gave me a nice massage. So I guess although it's really not my day, at least someone takes care of me when I'm getting the finger from lady Karma. ;)

Aaand since the weather is that of the land of Mordor, where shadows lie, I'm quite lucky I had some swatches made when the weather was sunny. So this is a few days old, but nothing acient. I did my todays manicure with China Glaze Watermelon Rind that I already showed you. I freakishly love that polish! BTW guys. If you're getting Night Sparkle from Nubar, beware of the heavy staining! I'm totally loving Sapphire even more because it doesn't stain one bit. Night Sparkle gave me blue nails. Completely blue. I didn't have this kind of staining even with Orly's Cosmic FX collection and honesty, back then I thought it couldn't get worse. Base coat, people! That I still didn't buy ... eh.

OK, I talk too much again. To the polish! Another from Tevta's Bday Project, the first out of two Color Clubs, this one is called Snakeskin. When I saw it I was like: Tevta, what the hell?? But when I put it on my nails, I actually kinda liked it, the main reason being this awesome glitter that it has, just a speck here and there, it is still noticable, especially on strong light. I'm not a big fan of base colour though. Still ... a pretty hot shade.

The sparkle check reveals the mesmerzing glitter on my ring and little finger.

Again the cool glitter. You can see the base colour on the lightbox picture more accurate.

This was two coats, no major problems, it's Color Club and I love just about everything about that brand. The application can get a bit tricky with visible brush strokes, but I don't think it's a major problem. Snakeskin is a part of Color Club 2010 Fall Collection called Untamed Luxury. It came out in two parts, Diamond and Indulgence, Snakeskin was part of Diamond.

Hm, anything else? Think that's it. Like I said, a very not me colour in the bottle, but it looked kinda cool on my nails. Can't really decide if I like it or not, but the glitter is a total win for me in this one. Subtile yet noticable. :)

What do you think about Snakeskin?

New polish project! Sparkle away!

Hello people! How was your Christmas eve? I hope you had tons of fun. We have such a hangoverish weather in Ljubljana, I feel like sleeping and nothing else. I slept for so long, I dare not even write the hour of my awakening. ;)
Anyway, as I drink my last sips of coffee and think about making another cup, I can tell you a bit more about Latvia project that I've mentioned in one of the posts already. As said, I'm thinking about taking a break from it, and that's just bottles before the entire set (the ones that we gave away are obviously not included for I never even opened them). Frankly, I'm a bit sick of blue colour and that's basically all that is left. And I'm so sick of it, not even my blue holographic China Glaze doesn't look too appealing to me right now. That's some sort of crime, isn't it? Let's see what's left of P:L.

From L to R: China Glaze 2NITE, OPI Holiday Glow, OPI Russian Navy Suede, Kinetics Sinful, Kinetics Blackout.

You already got a sneak peak of Sinful and I know it's a gorgeous colour, and Blackout is on my WL of Kinetcis, so I'll get to them soon, I guarantee it, but I am in total sparkle mood lately, and this next "project" has Sparkles with a big S. I don't know why I call them projects, probably because it's always a big pile of polish that I got at once and so I see them as "special groups" or something.
But anyway, about the Lativa project. I got to know a few brands that I've never even heard of them, like Kinetics, or just knew them breafly, like SpaRitual, or changed my opinion on a brand, like Jessica, or got my heart broken like with Nubar's Indigo Illusion. I got some of my major lemmings, like DS glamour, DS tapestery, DS extravagance, China Glaze's gorgeous Wagon trail, China Glaze's Watermelon Rind ... and of course put quite a few on my WL, since they're not mine, they're Tevta's. :D

The ones, that really pop out for me are SpaRitual's Mood, that is just supreme, O.P.I.'s Glacier Bay Blues and DS glamour, Kinetics Magnificent and My Blue Heaven and Nubar's Teal Glitter. If I only needed to list my top of the tops. The biggest surprise for me is Kinetcis. I really love their brush and the colours are just stunning. Although I had some problems with SpaRitual brush some colours took my breath away and I still have quite a few on my WL. So all in all a very nice score with these babies.

Oh, before I forget - if you wish to see any of the upper five shades, let me know and I will swatch them. It is not a problem! I promise I'll do the layering Sinful + Midnight Blue Glitter, as said on the MBG post, and I will get around them sooner or later, but if you're wondering about certain shade now, let me know. :)

To the next project after the click. Sparkles!!!
