Glittering Garland with silver drops

Hello people! How are you? I hope you are having a great holiday week, whether you celebrate Christmas or not! :) I already feel much much better, thank you all for your kind thoughts!
I redid my mani yesterday, as my previous one got pretty tired. I adore Glittering Garland, it has to be one of the best greens I own. You know I love greens and glass flecks, so GG was pretty much meant for me. Lately, with having little time for taking pictures and the gloomy weather that kills all chances for natural daylight photos (that is especially important for multichromes and holos), I'm enjoying discovering the beauties in my stash all over again. Glittering Garland seems perfect for this season.

Because I really like the effect of drops some bloggers do on their manicures, I decided to try something like that as an accent finger. It did not came out as I wanted, my drops are too shaky and just not right. And this is a dotting tool, for crying out loud. One would think a monkey can use a dotting tool, but honestly, I always screw up my dots. I like how it looks if you don't pay too much attention to the details at least.

I think silver and green go well together. I just thought of Slytherin though ... not a fan of Slytherin, really, but their colour and animal choice are superb. :)

What is on your nails today?

Catrice Bird of Paradise has dots

Heya peeps! How are you doing? A question first: does anyone of you have problems with posting comments on my blog? Maestra contacted me and told me her comments are not visible on the blog and they are not in my spam folder either, so I have no idea where they went and how I can fix it. Please let me know, if you have any advice on how to fix it, I'd really appreciate it.
Secondly, I'm happy to receive only very positive response on my blog template change! It's a fast one, I planned to do a bigger project, personalising the blog, but it never happened, so I just changed it to green (which I wanted to do for months now). I love it like this, so  I'm glad you do to!

And now for another Catrice! I don't even remember when I wore this baby, horrible. It's from Papagena LE, so it has to be months. Still, it's a lovely purple colour. My pictures make it more pink and less dusty than it really is, it's a bright purple (thank god for notes I do on my manicures, I'd forget everything otherwise). I did some dots with Plum Play With Me, also by Catrice. Some dots are an abomination, but hey, I tried. ;)

The application was wonderful, two easy coats, dries fast too. I'm sure Catrice will sooner or later put this colour out as a part of regular line (if they haven't already), they usually do that. To tell the truth, I like the colour, but it seems off in the collection, I'd prefer Papagena LE to be all green, that would fit better.

Did you get any shades from this LE?

Two bright spring/summer Zoyas

Hey people! How are you doing? It's the study season! Well, it feels like it's always a study season for me, hah. Now, I know I have a few beauties to show you from my last package, but lately I've been on a giant orange kick, and since I don't have any unused orange polish, I'm putting my untrieds to a pause and reaching again form my already used polish. And yesterday I wanted to wear something insanely bright and blue and Tallulah just jumped into my mind and I remembered I haven't shown you this beauty before. As I opened my Zoya folder I saw it's quite full of not posted pictures, so I added Midori, being  one of my favourite Zoyas ever. They are both insanely bright and cheerful and just perfect for the warmer days, I'd say. :)

Here's an older one with my long nails and a kitty on my ring finger. :)

Zoya Tallulah is awesome. So bright! So cheerful! Even has the slightest purple flash if you know how to turn your hand. Extremely easy to work with, the formula was a very pleasant surprise even for a Zoya (I'm used to awesome formula with their polish), it's very nicely pigmented and all in all a very good behaved polish. It's a part of Zoya Ooh-La-La Summer Collection for 2009, and I see now that so is Midori, haha, nice coincidence. :)

Zoya Midori reminds me of the Shire. Yeah, the hobbit Shire. Remember the fresh green colour of the grass in the movie when Gandalf is riding to Hobbiton and Frodo is sitting under the tree? I love that scene, because it depicts my thought of Shire very well. And Midori has the freshness of Shire grass, hehe. I love this polish to pieces. Three coats on the pictures, I did dots with Zoya Veruschka and screwed it up majorly on my little finger. I didn't like the overall result much either. Oh well. Midori still rocks!

Definitively the two stars of Ooh-La-La collection! What do you wear in Spring? Do you get the kicks for really bright colours like me or do you prefer the springy pastels?
