Comparison: Jessica - Shall We Dance vs. Zoya - Isla

Hello everybody! How are you doing? I opened my blog with the greatest surprise from my new followers, welcome everybody! I think it's a record, three in one day. :) I'd really like to thank everybody, for your time and comments, I *love* your comments, hearing your opinions on colours that I'm wearing. :) Today I have another comparison for you. The moment I put on the gorgeous Jessica, I knew it look too familiar. And I searched for my Zoya Isla. It's my first Zoya, and it's still one of my favourite reds ever. From the bottles they looked exactly the same, let's check the swatches too.

Tadaam, we have 100% dupes! It's impossible to tell one from the other. Forgive me for dusty swatches, lately I'm having trouble with dust all around the house, probably from the heating or I don't know what ... sometimes it gets on my fresh polish, and that's when Ulmiel goes nuts. :) But anyway, these two are exactly the same, both two coaters, both same amount of pigmentation on both coats, they both dry extremely fast, you don't need TC for either of them. They really don't have any special distinguishing characteristic on the polish itself. The only difference is in brands and their brush, but I love both of them. I had no trouble whatsoever, with neither of them. Price? In Slovenia Jessica is cheaper by two euros or three, depends on where you buy your Zoya, so we're talking about 10€ per Jessica bottle and 12-13€ per Zoya bottle. Needless to say you can get them cheaper online. So mainly it depends on your liking of the brush, I guess. :)

Don't buy one if you have the other. ;) Hope this was helpful!

Jessica - Shall We Dance

Hey everybody! How are you doing? Tell me, do you ever find yourself stuck with an incredible stupid song in your head and you just can't get rid of it? You don't like it one bit, it goes on your nerves really bad but you can't stop it no matter how much music you listen to or how many songs you scream to yourself in your head? I have it! It's a stupid pop song from one of our teen groups that I don't even consider music, it's that bad and I caaaan't get it out of my head! So annoying! Argh! And I thought nothing can beat the "Calgon" commercial song. *shivers*

But anyway, today I've got for you a red beauty. Jessica has gained quite a few points in these last few days in my book. Brush is tons better than I had written in my polish system and both colours are really really awesome. Lets check Shall We Dance.

This is one of my favourite reds in the whole wide world, incredibly sexy and it gets darker on the edges and i'm a sucker for that effect. I really love it. It's so easy to work with Shall We Dance, two coater, dries so fast you really don't need TC, unless you want to lenghten the wearing time of the polish, it's a bliss to remove, seriously, one of those polishes that you can simply put on when you're in a terrible hurry and need something with a bit of oomph to put on.

I really don't have anything else to say about Shall We Dance, it's an awesome red, any red lover should have it. Or maybe they already do. If this looks incredibly familiar it might be because Shall We Dance is a 100% dupe of a certain Zoya, my first Zoya baby actually. Comparison tomorrow!

What do you think about Shall We Dance? Are you a red lover or not? :) Aaaand what is the *worst* song you got stuck in your head and couldn't get rid of it?

Have a nice Saturday evening & thank you for reading!

Nubar - Teal Glitter (over Jessica Divine Pine)

Hey everyone! How are you doing? I'm better than yesterday, which is a good thing. Tevta saved my life today with coffee in the outside world. I can't be at home all the time, it makes me go nuts. So it was good to grab a cup of coffee, even if perhaps I shouldn't go into that cold. I also got the Lativa polish that was at her place, so I have 4 more to show you, altogether there are 10 left, not including Teal Glitter. :) And after that we're going to the next set, and I cannot wait for that one! Two words: Sparkle Collection! Wiii! So todays Nubar is really in place and it mended my broken heart after Indigo Illusion. Teal Glitter is a stunner. I adore it, I've been wearing it for 4 days now or something. Really awesome. I simply put it over Jessica's Divine Pine, because I thought it will be layering only polish, but this baby is so dense in glitter, you can have it opaque in two coats! Can we all squeek of joy? Perhaps not. :D Pictures!

 Direct sunlight.

I did a few sparkle checks, this one is the most accurate, and still I wish I had a better way of showing you just how insanely sparkely this polish actually is.

I did quite a few direct sunlight shots, but most of them ended in disaster when it comes to colour accuracy - most of them changed teal to blue! As you can see on this blurry sparkle check. The colour on other pictures is accurate.

I did one layer on every finger, with exception of my ring finger, there are two coats on that nail. As you can see, you can easily get away with two coats for complete coverage, but really rock solid coverege with three coats, which, in my opinion is still more than totally awesome for a glitter polish! A adore Teal Glitter. It's a bliss to apply, no trouble whatsoever, it's easy to spread it evenly over the finger ... seriously, awesome polish. Nubar is already famous for the easy removal of their glitter, i'm going to try this later on today and let you know in my next post, but since Tevta told me I don't even need foil technique, I'm guessing it really is that easy. :)
If you mind a bit rough touch of glitter on your nails, you may need to add another coat of TC, after one I still feel a bit of it on my nails, but not as major as on some other glitters. I asked uncle Google a part of which collection is Teal Glitter, but he couldn't find one info on that one, nobody mentions the collection, nor did I find entire collection, except Sparkle and Prism, when it comes to word "glitter". So i don't know, maybe it didn't came in collection or something, although I find that hard to believe. But anyway, as you know, Nubar is big 3 free, with label "vegan", which I still don't get in nail polish industry, but hey ... there you have it. It's a gorgeous shade and I absolutely adore it. I can wear it by itself, or layered over something dark, it will look stunning. Even my father noticed my nails (and complimeted them), and he doesn't notice if I cut my hair for 20 cm. ;)

And before I forget, a quick giveaway news: Rachel Marie is giving away some of my major lemmings for 50th follower giveaway. Really generous of her. Got me thinking that perhaps I should do 50th follower giveaway too, but I always thought and planned 100th follower giveaway, so I'm gonna stick to that now, we're more than half way there. :)

So yeah, Teal Glitter is my newest crush, I love it. What do you think about it?

Jessica - Divine Pine

Hello everyone. How are you doing on this such a cold day? I've been feeling so-so whole week long, but this morning when I woke up my throat and head gave me official note saying that I'm ill. Yay. Not! So I'm feeling pretty crappy, painkillers won't work for my headache and my throat pain is making me be really quiet - not that my family complains much about the last result of my sickness. ;) Anyway, enough with complaining, on to the polish. It's a dark green creme that I'm bound to love, this time only in three pictures, I'll tell you later on why.

Divine Pine is a vampy green colour that still remains green most of the time to my eyes, unless the lighting is really soft, but I've heard from most people while wearing it that I'm wearing plain black. So yeah ... I don't know, I still see green in it when I look at my nails, even now when I layered glitter over it (my next manicure that I have to show you, it's my new love!), but I'm guessing "non-polish-freaks" won't see the difference from reactions around me. Truth be told, it is one of those polishes that do get black quite fast, it's not in the range of Illamasqua Rampage, or RBL Recycle or BB Couture Poison Ivy and so on that keep the greeness no matter what, but it's not Zoya's Envy i'm-dark-green-only-under-really-strong-light either, it does have more green in it! So yeah, I'm loving it. :)

Now, to the reason for three prictures only. I'm not satisfied with my application on this one and it's not Jessica's fault, it's my Seche Vite. It's been getting thicker for a while now, but with this one it really became pain in the butt, probably because everything shows on a creme. I had really hard time applying it nicely, even with whole brush un-wipened and because SV dries so fast, every stroke started to show. I have two thick layers of SV on my middle finger, I actually thought I'll have to remove the polish off it to correct the manicure. And, I'm not sure if you can tell from the swatches, SV got infected. It has tiny tiny dusty shimmer in it, which doesn't really show most of the time, when I'm wearing glitter or shimmer, but it sure as hell does on vampy creme. It pissed me off too. And I don't really know how that happened, because I wipe the brush every single time before dipping it into the bottle again, on a piece of paper that I have prepared just for cleaning top coat brush. Sure, I can't do it really well, because I must pay attention to the drying SV in the opened bottle, but still. I wasn't really happy when I saw my creme manicure isn't really creamy. But yeah, Tevta warned me about fast thinckening of SV - and I'm not even halfway through the bottle - so I was prepared for it. Seche Restore to the rescue, I guess. Although I'm thinking about trying out Poshe, they say it's even better than SV. We'll see.

So anyway, do I have anything else to say about Divine Pine? Two coats, really nice application. That one surprised me a bit. My first Jessica I tried was Midday Rendezvous and that polish was old as me, perhaps a few years less, but still, quite old for a nail polish. And the brush of that sucker was soooooo unbelievable thin I lost my nerves applying it. Not regular thin, almost nail art thin. So I decided to stay away from Jessica, before I really check their brush. Thankfully Divine Pine has a really neat brush, still thin, but normal, and it was very nice to apply polish with it. Drying time is very fast, actually, that's why I regreted it even more that I put SV on top, but I was in a hurry and didn't want to smudge the polish.

Ok, enough talking. :) It's a dark green colour, what's not to love? I really like it, Jessica is back on my radar!
Do you like it? :)
