Jordana ~ Mystical

Hey my dear people! How have you been? Honestly, I had so many posts prepared this summer and I just let it fall apart. I even wanted to do a post about Iron Maiden concert in Zagreb. My BF bought us ticket for headbangers pit for our anniversary and it was insane. He took some photos and I thought about posting it and then just didn't. But I feel like my blogging is getting back a bit, so here is another very old set of photos of a polish I love, it is great. Judging by the notes in the background of the photos, these were taken two years ago. Whoa. My nails look awesome though. ATM I don't like them at all. I'm eating Biotin capsules, I hope they help.

These Jordanas need three coats for full opacity and they are absolutely stunning. I think I've showed you the rest I own, my favourite still being Supernatural and Wicked. Plus the formula and the brush are great and they are not big TC eaters. Love them, I wish I had more Jordanas in my stash.

Do you know Jordana brand, have a favourite shade you can recommend?

Thank you for reading and commenting, have a great end of summer!

Jordana - Supernatural with mattefied scotch tape try

Heya guys. I feel like typing this away today, although I didn't plan to. I've been a potato woman whole day long, which happens if you're still recovering from a nasty virus and your mom wakes you up with terrible news that make you feel like you got kicked in the stomack. o.O Not really my best day, but that's probably the reason why I changed a perfectly good mani and edited some pictures and am writing this down. If anyone says you're wasting your time (and money) with nail polish and blogs, just let them now how good it is for when you're feeling down. You know the movie The Enemy Of The State? Will Smith plays (really hot) lawyer guy and he explains to his wife, at the end of a weird day when he starts to blend a smoothie to relax, that some people jog, some drink, some do some other stuff ... and he blends. I do my nails and buy nail polish. :P

Anyway. This one is special. I've shown you Supernatural before, in a comparison and I said in that entry that I have to wear it as a full mani ASAP. That comparison was done in November. So much about successfully going thorugh my untrieds. For the record - I think a polish belongs in my untrieds box untill I've worn it as a full mani, comparisons don't count.
Why is this one special? My BF picked this one out of the box for our special day. It was really a coincidence, I planned to have something completely different on my  nails, but he was here and said I should wear this. And I must admit, he has some awesome taste. Supernatural is gorgeous. I wore it for quite a few days, after a few days I mattefied it too. Here are the pictures.

I left most of them totally large, so you would see the details of the glitter, I recommend enlarging it, the matte versions too, because the glitter looks totally awesome mattefied.
As always, my scotch tape tries are inspired by the amazing Erika and her Chloe's  Nails. Funny though, no matter how much I try, it never turns out as cool as when she does it. ;) With this one I like my ring finger, but I think it would be best if I left it as an accent finger and just put matte TC on all the rest. I hate especially my little fingers design, it's really like whatever. Oh well, you live and learn.
About Jordana - Supernatural itself ... well, it's perfect, isn't it? Little black with bright blue glitter perfection. Not to mention the name reminds me of one of my favourites show on the planet. :)

This was three coats, all Jordanas glitters need three coats, but trust me, it's completely worth it. I added 1 coat of Ultra Shine Nfu Oh TC and then SV, to make it dry faster. I was really happy to see that appearantly one coat of a Nfu Oh TC prevents the shrinkage of SV that I already got with Jordanas glitter. So yay! And two coats of TC are enough to make this baby smooth, it doesn't eat TC, luckily. :)

Anything else? Don't think so ... what's your favourite glitter in the whole wide world?

Thank you for reading, have a lovely evening!

China Glaze - Blk-bila-bong with comparison Jordana - Supernatural & O.P.I. - Unripened

Uh, long title. Hey darlings! How are you doing? Here in Ljubljana is cooooold! We're expecting snow tomorrow. While I love watching the snow from the inside and having snowball fights, I don't like the cold biting my butt and icy ground, not good for heels. ;) And OMG, thank you for following my blog, have I ever mentioned how grateful I am every time I see GFC numbers? It's a total surpise, guys, thanks again, you're spoiling me! And don't worry, I'll spoil you too. ;)
But now I want to show you my NOTD and the comparison and tell the story behind it. Yesterday I saw how big the tip wear on DS glamour got and decided I'll change the mani. I know, what a heresy! I did another poll nail polish, Indigo Illusion and ... more about that with my next post, I removed it and didn't feel any nail polish. OMG! So I went to the shoeboxes and just randomly took bottles out and finally Blk-bila-bong spoke to me. But apperantly the universe was so mad at me for removing DS glamour, Blk-Bila-Bong chipped after mere hours! DS glamour doesn't get removed, it removes itself. Or something. ;) I was so mad, because I dislike tip-wear, but really hate chipped nail polish, I decided to do the comparison that I've planned when applying BBB. So here it is, a bit pic heavy post due to NOTD pictures and VS. pictures, but I hope you won't mind.

 On direct sunlight.

Blurry, so the sparkles come out.

Inside shot.

Blk-Bila-Bong is an oldie, from 2007 Surf Summer China Glaze Collection and is not Big 3 Free, which is noticable in the smell of the polish and the application. I didn't like the application much, the polish is too runny and it's a PITA to make it even. This would be a two coater by pigmentation, but you just can't do it evenly, so I  had to apply the third coat.

I like how Blk-bila-bong still keeps the blue glitter visible even in bad lighting (like right now when I'm typing away this entry), and it looks totally cool on the sunlight. It's really a cool shade, I love it. What I don't like is that it chipped so freakshly soon and the tip wear is horrible. I'll probably remove it today if I'll have the time, or tomorrow, otherwise I'll go insane.

But when I applied it, it reminded me so much of Jordana's Supernatural and of O.P.I.'s Unripened, I knew I'll have to do a comparison. After the chipped index finger, I did it only hours after the application, so there you have it, after the click. :)

Jordana - Wicked and 5 minutes tea break for nail-polish

Evening everyone! It has been a loooong day, I had classes until 6 p.m., but am in a chatty mood, I hope you're with me, get a nice cup of tea (or coffee if it's not too late for you) or cocoa and lets us talk nail-polish. Man, I  sound like a bad commercial. :D First I wanna show you an old beauty of mine, it's an old mani, but this was the reason why I started liking glitter.

Small pictures, I know, like I said, they are old, one of my first swatches, I think. It totally needs three coats, but then becomes amazing, copper specks of glitter in black base, ah! It's quite easy to apply, if you ignore the three coats thing (and three is not a problem for me anyway), dries up a bit rough though, if you don't like that you'll probably need two coats of top coat to make it smooth.

Chat after the klick. :)
