Paket petek

Isn't it awesome I can do another Paket petek (Package Friday)?? You know why it's awesome? That's right, because that means Ulmiel got a package full of goodies this week!

The customs sent their love right before I went on my roadtrip. I wasn't very happy about it, since basically, I could have had the package already in my hands, if there wasn't for the customs procedure. Oh well ... they finally sent it right on the day I got back to Slovenia, so when I got home, the package awaited me. Torn, poorly stuck together with a short piece of duct tape and with two (!) polishes completely out of the bubble wrap (you know, so they could easily hit each other and break, why make it hard for them and unwrap only one?)! Not only did they tear it, they took them out and didn't bother at all to wrap them again. Can I mention too that one of these two was one of my biggest lemmings in nail polish ever, Nubar Greener? My wrath disturbed the Force that day, really. Not for long though, I got SO happy about the package, it was pure and utter perfection. I love my swap buddy, seriously, she rocks.

Not one but TWO from *the* Nubar collection for me, Greener and Forest! I honestly couldn't sit anymore when I saw them in the package. The entire package is perfect, but these two really made me go

The gif was probably nicked from the awesome Kaz (Pretty Random). She puts cool stuff like this on the blog, making me laugh like hell.

As for the eyeshadows. I know, I know. I keep telling everyone who is willing to listen I have a strict no-buy in eyeshadow department. And now this. I blame it on Kelly (Vampy Varnish). Who can say no to a product she presents so amazingly in her post? Not me, no sir. And they really are great.

Perfect package, yes. What did you get in your latest package? Do tell, don't be shy!

Thank you for reading!

Vipera Jumpy: 120, 145, 173

Hey guys!! How are you doing? I dropped in to say 'hello', I miss blogging so much! I had two exams today and I'm so tired studying is definitively off, so why not write a post? In a very new blogger, I might add. I'm still getting used to the whole deal. I also switched to Google Chrome, because Mozilla went all funny on me. I'm getting used to that one too, but I'm starting to like it. Anyway. I wanted to show you this for a long long time! It's a swap I did with Sabbatha from Spooky Nails quite a while ago, because I wanted to try out some of the really awesome colours she's displaying on her blog and are Polish. You know, made in Poland. ;) The more I saw, the more impressed I got and then swap just had to happen. The one brand I really fell in love with is Vipera Jumpy. Yes, because of the small, chubby bottles. So cute!! So naturally I had to try them first. Now I'll show you the first three I tried, but at this point a tried a lot of them, and honestly, Poland knows what they're doing with polish!! The colours, the brushes, the formula!! Awesome! Sabbatha, thank you so so much, the package is beyond awesome!

First is the 120. Gorgeous green. What did you expect, a yellow one? It's me, for Pete's sake. :P

The pictures are not my best, I was up north, far away from my lightbox and usual lighting when I took them. Still, I think you can see how beautiful 120 really is. Gorgeous green. As Sabbatha mentioned on her blog, it's quite similar to Orly Meet Me Under The Mistletoe, but not the same. I'm itching to do a comparison, when I'll have the time. I think this was three coats. I forgot to write it down, lame. :(

Then we have the faaantastic duochrome, meet 145.

If you're asking yourself why three pictures, you're a duochrome hater. Isn't this fantastic? *dreamy sigh* I love it so so much!! Strong duochrome, just a little bit brush-stroky, but nothing major, very nicely behaved, it's just a bliss to work with it. Three coats.

And then the elegant 173:

It's a soft, dusty purple with subtle pink shimmer, that gives it depht and is visible even in soft light. But still subtle, you have to look for it. Doesn't matter, when I wore this baby I was just in the mood for something that soft on my nails. Beautiful, really. Again three coats. It dries so glossy on its own it's impossible to get a picture without any reflect. You should see my outside pictures.
Next day I helped the pink shimmer a bit with CND Amethyst Sparkle effect.

These beauties all have a few things in common. They have great brush, they have amazing formula, they dry really fast, they are really small and really cheap. It's a win win situation for nail polish junkie, if you ask me. And I adore the colours, adore them!! There is more to come. Vipera Jumpy impressed me so much. They are so much more than what I expected. Crazy!

A quick shot of all the goodies that arrived from Poland. I almost forgot I have these pictures.
 Group picture.
Second row.

That's it from me. What do you think about Jumpys? Do you have any? :)

Thank you for reading & hope I'll get the chance to drop in a few times more before my study period ends!

... swaps and special hauls.

Evening everyone! To the second part of yesterdays post. Like I said, I feel I should thank some people for help and their generosity with these two posts. I don't think I'd do separate posts anymore, I'll just mention these stuff in posts about polish. But now so much of this piled on, so here it is.

Swapping. It is addictive. Don't you think? I love every second of it. Can you believe that I almost don't buy polish for myself anymore? It's just so much more fun to get a package! You get to meet more nail polish fans and get more polishes you can't get otherwise and I'm always curious about new brands!

These beauties are from two packages I did with Kris (her blog is My Lucid Bubble, I'm sure you know it, but if you don't I really recommend it, I love the pictures and her writing). She's like my nail polish twin sister. Whatever she sends me (or posts on her blog) I'll love it, our taste in polish is 98,5% the same. So her packages are total fun, whenever I get them. Plus, she's a totally awesome person. As you can see, my Zoya WL is getting a bit emptier too thanks to her, woohoo! All four of them were my total lemmings, but especially Ivanka one of the biggest, plus O.P.I. Suzi Says Feng Shui, that I'm wearing more often than any colour lately. <3

And this is a giant package I recieved a few days ago from lovely Jette. Her awesome blog is called Vettelicious and it's our first swap we did and let me tell you, she's one of sweetest bloggers out there. The package surprised me enormously with all the beauties (oh yes, that is Gosh Holographic on your right), but mostly with two things she created herself, my favourite teal colour she posted months ago on her blog and the ring with my favourite polish combination. Thank you, hun!

Teal Rex! The cutest packages ever. MAC shmac, I tell you!

Illamasqua Rampage with Nfu Oh 56 on top. <3

I love swapping, I really do, especially with such awesome people.

And now to special hauls. I want to post this one for one particular reason. I got them all with help of nail fanatics and they are all my great lemmings.

From L to R:
O.P.I. Absolutely Alice. I fell in love with this polish ages ago and when seeing it on totally perfect nails of Nola that owns Hedonism, Limited I drooled all over my keyboard. Big surprise came with her email, telling me she can get me a bottle at a fair price (damn you, ebay greedy people!). She was incredibly nice and patient, even after the total fiasco of paying her for the polish, it was a complication after a complication, so, Nola, seriously, thank you for everything. :) But I'm glad to say that through that I met an awesome person. And now I have AA too, haha!

Essence All Access & Zoya Suvi. Tell me, why does Essence continue to discontinue all the awesome shades? All Access is a perfect green, so gorgeous, but I couldn't get it anywhere, of course, since it's out of the market for ages now. Luckily, a member of my favourite beauty portal offered it do me in part swap part sale. Kokola is also responsible for a death of one of my biggest lemmings in Zoya department. I got Suvi! As you can see, I'm a bit into Zoya lately. ;) Kokola, thank you, these two are major lemmings of mine!

And last one, Eyeko Cosmic Polish, that I've already shown you, I got from the lovely teycha, she also has a blog caled Daltonista Polish

Bottom line of this post is to express my gratitude and also point out the amazing nail polish fanatics out there. I love how we help each other getting all the lovely stuff and I love meeting you all through someting as "everyday" as nail-polish is. Cool, ha?

Don't worry, I'm back to serious nail polish tomorrow. ;) Thank you for reading!

A nail polish week

Hello darlings! How are you doing? I'm kinda sleepy and kinda grumpy. I watched the Oscars and that in our neck of the woods means I've been up untill 6 a.m. But I'm for once happy with the results. All the right people and movies got the attention, with the exception of Helena and Geoffrey, I really think they deserved to get the prizes, especially Geoffrey Rush for his amazing work in King's Speech. The entire show was fun and not boring at all, so thumbs up, people!

But anyway! Today I have a different post for you. I stopped doing haul posts, if you haven't noticed already, I did them in the beginning and then noticed somewhat negative reactions in general to haul posts, so I'm doing them now only when they are really special.
I was quite lucky to win two giveaways lately. One I already showed you, at least part of it - the necklace I got from Colorfulbottle, I still have to get to the polish, I've already played with them a bit, just didn't get the chance to post them. The second giveaway was the annonimous one from Parokeets. To those who regularly read my blog - I'm sure you know already I'm such a big Tolkien freak, I'm probably the only one that would make a nickname out of first sentence of the book The Hobbit. ;) Thank you, Parokeets ladies!

Essence Undead? and Thirsty!, Konad kit, Essence all overy plate and Choose me! polish; Manhattan 710T, gorgeous dark blue polish.

I've already played a bit with Konad, and I wanted to show you, but frankly, it's too awful to even show it. My major, major admiration to all of you who do Konad art regularly! I had NO idea it's so hard!! I almost spilled polish numerous times, not to mention I got polish everwhere. :S

The Parokeets surprise came on Monday last week. So you know that would make an awesome week already. But on Wednesday another package arrived, that I've been waiting for since previous week. It was my first swap I did on my own, guys, and that was with the awesome nail polish blogger Kris from My Lucid Bubble. I need to thank her for all the patience she had with me and the questions, and I'd also like to thank Tevta and Dolores from Colorfulbottle for useful tips and instructions! Wow, lots of thanks. You can see I've watched the Oscars, can't ya? ;) Here's the amazing package she sent me.

From L to R, all Brucci: Stephanie's Go Lime, Gianna's Rocking Blue, Roberta's Green Garden, TJ's Blue Suede Shoes, Black Emerald (!!! beyond awesome duochrome!)

Seche New Orleans, Orly Robo Romance, Color Club Charmed, I'm sure (iii, my first CC and a mini, cute!!), Wet'n'wild Cheers, Finger Paints Hue Rang?

The bottom two I could also name DIE LEMMINGS DIE!
Jesse's Girl Confetti, Revlon Royal, Misa Toxic Seduction!!!, Sinful Colors San Francisco!!!, Sally Hansen Salon effects strips Frock Star.

O.P.I. Show Must Go On and Glacier Bay Blues. China Glaze Emerald Sparkle, C-c-courage, VII.
*faints*

Kris, thank you thank you thank you!! This package has been a sheer perfection. I mean, SO many lemmings killed, not to mention Confetti just might me one of the most perfect polishes I've even tried on. Emerald Sparkle, Toxic Seduction, Glacier Bay Blues and VII were one of my biggest lemmings. I think I acutally squeeked when I saw them. My mother thought I'm insane, probably. I don't care, these babies made my whole year!
I've already put on Jesse's Girl Confetti and Revlon Royal, but I ask you, dears, do you have any wishes what you'd like to see first? Shoot, if you do! :)

So yeah, I won't show you a manicure now, because then there would be too many pictures in the post. But tomorrow one perfection for you! It has been a good week for polish last week, don't you think? ;) Not to mention I'm expecting a package from Finland with Depend and I'm still missing a few China Glazes from new collections. What? I'm insane? I crossed the line? What? I caaan't hear youuuu ...
