Gosh - Blue Monday

Ahoy maties! No, I didn't go loco, I just think 'hello darlings' needs a change every once in a while. ;) Did you look outside today? It's a beaaautiful sunny day here in Ljubljana, I'm full of energy! :D AND I got a package from lovely Kaneli from up north with 4 Depends and a H&M polish that I cannot wait to show you! Alas, I don't have time to change my mani today, it's a busy busy Monday, and since it's Monday, let's go with a polish that has the day in the name. My one and only Gosh, I got it as a gift from my dear Tevta, and it rocks!!

As much as this polish rocks tho, my pictures of it don't. You'll just have to take my word when I say this baby is packed with purple glitter. It's not in your face, but it's visible in almost every light. That's why I posted also the ugly yellowish last picture, since I think there it's visible just a tad bit. With the blue base and other blue particles that create almost a glass-flecked finish, this polish really is awesome. My SV is being a little bitch and caused shrinkage, but we're on a hate-hate relationship for a while now. Oh well. This is older mani, and I see I need to file down my nails a bit, I like this lenght. It was three coats, because I don't like VNL, otherwise you can manage with two.

Sorry for the short post, I gotta run! What do you think about Blue Monday? :)

Thank you for reading!

O.P.I. - Little Red Wagon (with Nubar Torrid Red)

Hola gente! How are you doing? I wanted to show you my Carnival manicure yesterday, but I got so busy at home that I couldn't find the time to type this away, I had to go to our 'headquarters for costumes' a.k.a. my friends house to get all ready. Hope you got into a costume, if you celebrate the Carnival, it's superfun! :)

My costume was black and red, and I wanted to have really awesome red on my nails. I do have quite a few reds in my stash, but I went through 'the source' too, and immediately when I grabbed Little Red Wagon I knew I found the colour. I loved it from the time I was shoeboxed with O.P.I. so I knew I'd feel awesome wearing it.

Lord of the Rings, my middle finger cuticle is an abomination. Forgive me, I'm trying to heal it as fast as I can, but I just can't, appearantly. It's hideous and I effing hate it.
I love this red, really. It's awesome! You can really build the colour too. It is a one coater, you get an even one coat, but you will have VNL with one coat. Two already hide it pretty well, and then you can build the colour with layers, two is brighter, three is already darker, but super deep, I loved it. I didn't have the time to put the fourth one, but I'm guessing it would go even darker. The photos are three coats, with ring finger only two, can you see that it's a shade lighter colour? I did two coats on the rest of my nails, and it's super cool too.

Little Red Wagon is a part of O.P.I. Holiday 2008 collection called Holiday In Toyland, holding also two of my favourite OPIs that i still don't have: Don't Toy With Me and Brand New Skates. *sigh* So a pretty good collection, I'd say. What I love about OPIs reds, it stands for LRW too is, that they are perfect in the application. Trully flawless, you can't go wrong. And the colours are awesome, I think OPIs strongest colour just might be red, at least for the quantity of really great reds that they produce.

On my ring finger I put Nubar's Torrid Red that I already talked about, just to put sexy colour on sexy colour. ;) I really wish I had the time to do the full mani like this, I think it would look really great, as an accent mani it almost looks too subtle. But I love the combination, really. One day, when I have the time, I'll do a full one!

I'm thinking of doing a major comparison with reds, would you be interested in that? What do you think about Little Red Wagon? And what were you wearing yesterday as a costume? :)

Seven Decks Below mani

Hello darlings! And welcome, new people! :) Glad you find my blog interesting enough to spend your time here!
I'm sorry for going MIA on you all of the sudden, my absence from ze mighty internet was not planned and impossible to avoid. And two days of break from me cannot be so bad. ;) Today I have another one from the MLB swap package. I cannot resist them. Although I showed you China Glaze VII already, even did a comparison with Boris & Natasha, I want to show yout the scotch tape art I did with it and Below Deck (hence the name of my todays post). Guys, I'm really worried about my Below Deck bottle. I'm starting to think about a back up bottle of polish for the first time. I don't do back ups, because, let's face it - nail polish junkies don't empty polish bottles. But Below deck has larger dent in the bottle than most of my polish. And I have it for about a month! o.O

Anyway, to the mani! It was on my nails till mere hours ago.

Please excuse my screwed up middle finger, again. I have no idea why the cuticle around that finger is so easily hurt. :S I don't skip it when I put my cuticle balm on my fingers, I swear!

China Glaze VII is a part of China Glaze X Collection, released for ChG's 10th anniversary in 2007. I find three colours in the collection nice, but VII is a must. It has the B3F syndrome, but I don't care, really. It's pure perfection. Two coater, it dries extremely fast, I'm not using TC on the pictures! It's the purple that doesn't go black, awesome, people!
On my accent ring finger I have Below Deck and the stripes are inspired by amazing Erika (have you seen how awesome Nubar Verde looks on that lady? Man!!!) and her Chloe's Nails. I wanted the same feeling with this one as I did with Jacques' Below Deck, Captain! mani. Sophisticated, yet interesting. I love the result, really.

What do you think about Seven Decks Below? And what's on your nails today? :)

Jesse's Girl - Confetti

Hello darlings! Hope you had a nice Tuesday. I'm tired as hell, but I really want to show you this one. It's the first one I tried from my swap package, I just couldn't resist, since I liked it on the swatches so much, and it just might be one of the best polishes in my collection. It rocked my world totally, so huge thank you to Kris for sending me Confetti! I layered it over Catrice Back To Black, because that's the best way to show the duochrome effect of the polish, otherwise it's somewhat sheer and not so alive. Also you can probably layer it over everything. Right now I'm big on layering polish. I got addicted by a certain person who shall not be named with Nfu Oh Opals. Not to mention the gorgeous colours Nfu Oh has! Yes, I was stupid enough not to expect Nfu Oh has any "clear" colours, I just thought it specializes in flakies and holo. 5 points extra for me, I guess. Anyway. I went from "nah, I'm not that big on Nfu Oh" to around 25 bottles on my WL. No comment. Confetti pictures!

In the shade, natural light.

I love this, seriously, people. I wore it for four whole days! And maybe I would wear it even longer, if it wouldn't start to chip away. It is such a gorgeous polish. I love it over black!¨This was two coats over one thicker of Back to Black, on my ring finger are three coats, because I was a jerk and smudged fresh polish.

I don't think any extra words are neccesary for this one, just look at it. Fantastic duochrome, perfect for lighter nails, blue being very bright, the foil finish making this extra cool. I love it. Brush is fantasic, I had no problem at all. Just ... perfect! Of course I have the urge to layer it over everything, but I'm resisting successfully! ;)

What do you think about Confetti? :)
