Zoya - Suvi

Evening everyone. How are you on this really way too hot day? Today was really a bitch. I just sat and did nothing and still sweat. So gross. It's also Sunday, which means for me I couldn't decide what colour to put on my nails and I really had to, due to the tip wear on my last mani. For the first time it has happened that I absolutely adore the colour but I probably won't post it on my blog. The pictures are so painfully inaccurate, I just don't see the point in posting them. It's the gorgeous H&M Blue My Mind, so wickedly colourful and bright, on my photos, no matter how I take it, it takes this form of sky or baby blue, depends on the lighting. Frustrating, but  it's the most far off shot I've ever gotten of a colour. Still, an awesome shade, I'm sure you know it and possibly have it. :)

But this post is dedicated to one of my lemmings in gorgeous Zoya department. Until a few weeks ago I seriously lacked Zoya in my stash. Only two bottles, it almost seemed like a crime. By luck I've gotten quite a few more now, like i mentioned in my last posts, and i'm super happy about it. Suvi was in my top 5 to get. Such a gorgeous green. I was so lucky to get it, at more than a fair price. Here she is in all her beauty.

So beautiful! Suvi is a part of Zoya Downtown Collection for Fall 2007, the collection that also gave me Rea, one of my favourite foils I've ever tried out, and Freja, that's one awesome silver. This is also the collection that gave us Indigo and Kotori, two very popular shades. So I think we can easily put this collection in the department of the best ones, that seem to come out in those years. I keep getting this feelings that the strongest collections in nail polish world came out in the years 2004-2008. Might be wrong, of course. :)

Suvi is a bit sheer, it needs three coats for full opacity, but then it's magic baby! Plus, the brush and application on Zoyas are as perfect as you could wish it to be, and so three coats are done before you know it. I can't remember how fast it dries, but I do know i wore it without TC, so I guess it dries fast enough. The colour is nothing short of amazing. Look at the first, also most colour accurate picture. It's so stunning, with it's emerald shimmer. Zoya does green really really well, I have now 7 beautful Zoyas, 5 of them are green, and I still have plenty of greens on my WL. Suvi is magnificent, very elegant, yet vibrant and always green, not a blackened one. 

Question of the post: do you have a day in the week (or of a mood that repeats itself on regular basis) when you just cannot pick a colour for your nails? Another one: what's your favourite Zoya colour and how many do you have in your stash?

China Glaze - Cross Iron 360

Hey everyone. Today I won't be so chatty, since it's just too hot to even type. Seriously, I feel like my skin is too much for me to wear right now, let alone clothes. If I had the guts (and if I knew I wouldn't regret it severely right after I'd do it), I'd shave my head. It's a killer today. 

Let's go on with nail polish! This little baby I pulled out of Tevta's shoe box out of curiosity - I didn't even know it existed and it looked SO amazing in the bottle, like bottled fire. I put it on and it was love.

Isn't it amazing? Still, I feel my pictures don't do Cross Iron 360 justice. It looks even more amazing on the nails. Seriously, liquid fire, I loved wearing it. 

Cross Iron 360 is a part of China Glaze Ski Collection for Winter 2007, so a rather old one, but a cool one too. Cross Iron 360 and Frostbite are a total win in nail polish department, I need them in my life! If you add Outta Bounds in the bag, I won't mind!

It needs two coats, dries really fast (all the pictures are without TC) and it's really a very well behaved polish, it applies like ChG finest! Gorgeous polish, really. I'm BIG on orange lately!

Evening everyone! To the second part of yesterdays post. Like I said, I feel I should thank some people for help and their generosity with these two posts. I don't think I'd do separate posts anymore, I'll just mention these stuff in posts about polish. But now so much of this piled on, so here it is. 

Swapping. It is addictive. Don't you think? I love every second of it. Can you believe that I almost don't buy polish for myself anymore? It's just so much more fun to get a package! You get to meet more nail polish fans and get more polishes you can't get otherwise and I'm always curious about new brands!

These beauties are from two packages I did with Kris (her blog is My Lucid Bubble, I'm sure you know it, but if you don't I really recommend it, I love the pictures and her writing). She's like my nail polish twin sister. Whatever she sends me (or posts on her blog) I'll love it, our taste in polish is 98,5% the same. So her packages are total fun, whenever I get them. Plus, she's a totally awesome person. As you can see, my Zoya WL is getting a bit emptier too thanks to her, woohoo! All four of them were my total lemmings, but especially Ivanka one of the biggest, plus O.P.I. Suzi Says Feng Shui, that I'm wearing more often than any colour lately. <3

And this is a giant package I recieved a few days ago from lovely Jette. Her awesome blog is called Vettelicious and it's our first swap we did and let me tell you, she's one of sweetest bloggers out there. The package surprised me enormously with all the beauties (oh yes, that is Gosh Holographic on your right), but mostly with two things she created herself, my favourite teal colour she posted months ago on her blog and the ring with my favourite polish combination. Thank you, hun!

And now to special hauls. I want to post this one for one particular reason. I got them all with help of nail fanatics and they are all my great lemmings.

From L to R:

O.P.I. Absolutely Alice. I fell in love with this polish ages ago and when seeing it on totally perfect nails of Nola that owns Hedonism, Limited I drooled all over my keyboard. Big surprise came with her email, telling me she can get me a bottle at a fair price (damn you, ebay greedy people!). She was incredibly nice and patient, even after the total fiasco of paying her for the polish, it was a complication after a complication, so, Nola, seriously, thank you for everything. :) But I'm glad to say that through that I met an awesome person. And now I have AA too, haha!

Essence All Access & Zoya Suvi. Tell me, why does Essence continue to discontinue all the awesome shades? All Access is a perfect green, so gorgeous, but I couldn't get it anywhere, of course, since it's out of the market for ages now. Luckily, a member of my favourite beauty portal offered it do me in part swap part sale. Kokola is also responsible for a death of one of my biggest lemmings in Zoya department. I got Suvi! As you can see, I'm a bit into Zoya lately. ;) Kokola, thank you, these two are major lemmings of mine!

And last one, Eyeko Cosmic Polish, that I've already shown you, I got from the lovely teycha, she also has a blog caled Daltonista Polish. 

Bottom line of this post is to express my gratitude and also point out the amazing nail polish fanatics out there. I love how we help each other getting all the lovely stuff and I love meeting you all through someting as "everyday" as nail-polish is. Cool, ha?

Of gifts, giveaways ...

My darlings! How have you been? Yes, I know, I'm back later than promised (and planned) and so once again my Eveline week is postponed ... man, it's just not meant to be. We enjoyed our break in the lovely village next to beautiful Bled so much, we decided to extend our vacation till yesterday. I came home late in the evening and by the time I replied all the emails I was just too tired to write a blog post too. I really had an amazing time, great week, just perfect relaxation after all the work for college. 

Nail-wise: I cut them really short today. There in the house they don't have a washing machine and since I (for once) had to do or help with the cooking and the cleaning (which I'm usually spared of during studying time thanks to my lovely mother) and I broke one of my rules with forgetting the latex gloves for cleaning, my nails were in poor shape and I decided that instead of filing them down, I just cut them completely, so they can completely recover from scratch. So at one point you'll be looking at some seriously short nails on my blog, but to tell you the truth, I like them this short, for once. :) 

To today's post. It's LONG overdue. I wish to thank some people for being so kind and generous and frankly, it's been months since I've planned it. Why? Because I'm constantly waiting on one or two packages and then I always postpone it, 'just this package more and then I'll post it' and this is going on for a while now. Right now I'm still waiting for a couple more, but I guess I'll do another one or just thank the lovely ladies when I post the polish itself. Especially since I'm starting to forget what I want to put in the post. But since it piled up so much right now, it deserves a special post, I hope you'll find it interesting enough. :)  *** I have just written only half of the planned post and realized it's way way too long already, so I'll cut it into two, the other half shall come tomorrow. :)

First to gifts. Remember how I complained about my BF leaving for a whole week again and how he better get me some seriously awesome polish from the trip? Well, he did. :) Not only that, he brought me all sorts of stuff, also a couple of hand cremes and you know how much I love them. :) Here are the four beauties. They are from local Lithuanian brands, of course I never heard of them in my life, but I'm really glad to have them, I love local nail polish brands. :) As always, my love had an awesome taste in picking them, I already tried two on and they seriously kick ass. Thank you. :*

And now to giveaways. I was lucky to win two in last few months. One from lovely Holly (she has a great blog called shimmerspark.com, go check it out!) and the other from Chi Chi (also awesome blog called The Phalanges Files, check this one too!). Both were very great surprises, I never really expect to win the giveaways, since there is always so many entries and with every giveaway I'm still amazed by generosity of nail bloggers.

 I forgot to put the Bundle Monster plate and the purse-sized nail files on the picture, silly me! So the gift was even larger.

The two amazing crackles, especially blue one totally stole my heart, I'm impressed by them!

Holly and Chi Chi, thank you both so much! I already played with most of the stuff and I love everything! Avojuice has to be the best body lotion I've ever tried in my life - at least the best smelling one for sure! Dust Bunny from Overallbeauty my favourite eyeshadow ATM and Butter and the blue Sally Hansen polishes the best yellow and blue crackle I have. So I'm one lucky hobbit, don't you think?
