Evening my darlings! I feel like writing another one today, because I planned to show you this manicure today. And if I don't drink a cup of tea before I read another word on Slovene tax system, my ears will turn blue or something.
Now, I know you're pretty much sick of Anchors Away swatches that are flooding the nail blogosphere, so I decided to spice it up a bit. Either a comparison or scotch tape art with the mani. What say you? :)
Of course the first one I needed to put on my nails was the green one. Did you expect anything else?
Three natural light photos and two lightbox. As my poor try to make an amusing title of the entry reveals, I used China Glaze Starboard and China Glaze Tree Hugger on my accent finger. Of course, scotch tape design is inspired by wonderful Erika from Chloe's Nails, although I don't think I've seen this specific design on her blog, inspiration definitively came from there.
Anyway, as you all know, Starboard is a part of China Glaze Anchors Away Spring Collection 2011 and is one of five shades I've ordered. Tree Hugger is a part of China Glaze 2008 Spring Collection called Ecollection, being inspired by going green, thinking ecological and so on, also being one of my favourite greens in my collection, very crisp and bright and playful.
I love how this turned out. And I love Starboard. The moment I saw it on swatches, I knew I had to have it. Fact. Perfect green, exactly what I need right now after all the holiday greens and glitter. With Starboard I realised for the first time what other bloggers mean with "squishy" colour. It really is, when I looked at my nails, I felt the same way as when I look at a very squishable toy. Crazy, I know, I thought the same, yet, there it was. I had no troubles at all with the application, the polish is on a thicker side, two coats for full coverage. Nothing to complain about, hey, it's China Glaze, baby!
I hope you like the combination, I really liked it. :) What do you think about Starboard, which colours did you get from Anchors Away?
Sweet dreams & thank you for reading and following!
This mani style would be great as a 'ballet shoe' if you did it in pink... I will be trying this soon! Looks great!
